My husband hasn't been able to get online for about two weeks. My other friends who have loved ones in Benin haven't been connected to the country in a couple of weeks. My husband says it's something about the fiber optics cable being cut. He finally went to his provider this morning and they said it all of West Africa that has been affected. Is anyone else finding this to be the case?

My fiance hasn't been affected by it, but it's apparently been a huge problem for several countries in West Africa.

West Africa Internet

Thanks. He told me I could find it in the news, but I had searched and found nothing. Unfortunately, this article doesn't give any clear idea of when things will be back to normal, but at least it seems Benin is on the way to recovery.

I know that this is late....but this happens in Ghana A LOT. Even when I was there. The power would be out...nothing...My husband could call me but that was it...

This has been a moving problem for the last few weeks on and off.

As far as searching the net you may want to search under power outages and the region that he is in....

Just a thought....
