we got the email from CRIS july 27, 2009 but it's already going to be a week soon and we haven't received the hardcopy just yet.

my fiance called up the military hotline and they read off the right mailing address though, im just concerned coz what if it will get lost in the mail too just as  like our NOA1; we cant waste any time waiting for them to issue another NOA2 which will take ages, and cost another whooping $300+ ..and of course we will file for the AOS asap after we get married so we cn get the AP right away

so, i would appreciate it if you'd share with me the average waiting day for the hardcopy; so i'll know if ill have to worry about it soon :)

thanks! and congratulations to all those who had received their NOA2s

Usually 7-14 days avg time...hopefully whatever happened to the NOA1 isn't gonna happen to the NOA2.

Did you get whatever it was straightened out, or do you think it just fell into a black hole at the Postal Service...

I wish there was a way to "track" it as it's moving around. Even if everything works fine it would be nice to see the stops along the way, and if it doesn't get to you, you'd be able to see it's last "checkpoint". For something so important as these documents, it should be a given.

Is there a way to pick it up yourself if it does "get lost"? The whole idea of having to spend an additional $300 is just absurd when it is of no fault of ours (if the address is correct).

But I'm sure you'll get it soon. Then it's all smiles again
