I saw in the reasons for a denial that family/friends being unaware of engagement as a cause for denial. Does the embassy call people to check on it?

I just want to know if I need to let people know to be expecting a call. Thanks.

I dont think they bother to make phone calls to people just to know for sure if you're engage or not, and besides, if you're engaged, wouldnt you be happy and excited to tell EVERYONE the good news??

We have told everyone. I simply worry that people won't answer their phones or call back the embassy. I never answer a # I don't know.

Greg and I had read of some couples getting RFEed because they have no evidence that their engagement has been made official to the family of the girl during the interviews. Here plays the importance of the couples' photos with family and friends of the fiancee, albeit being only a secondary evidence.

Wow. I guess we have to risk it then. All our photos are of the two of us in Manila and Bagiou. Does anyone have experience with this?

I brought pictures of my fiance and me however, no friends or family were in the pictures. I passed my interview without any problem and now I am here in America 8 months with my husband.

Thanks. I'm not too worried about it. I just have a bad case of the "what ifs" now that we are finally near the finish line.
