i'm trying to put it on and it says i'm not authorize. How do you attach the file?

On the bluesheet, they say we can turn it in early, is that true? Or do we have to wait til the 12th to turn everything in? As of the timeline, mine is thirteen pages and very detailed. She didn't get it back when they hand her the papers back. Should I revise the timeline again?

you can turn in early but they will review it later and mail you result. I would prefer turn in at appointment time so you can wait for result instantly

thanks. I might be there that day. Might come back there again on september. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY WORK ON SATURDAY? Our appointment time is on a Saturday so I want to make sure.

We were so sad to even talk about the questions but this morning my wife told me about it. He asks about thirty three questions and the translator wasn't much help. The officer was speaking in vietnamese and this is my wife's first time hearing a foreigner speaking her language. The translator was looking at the computer as the officer ask questions and she talks quietly "dung = correct" but I don't know why they give her bluesheet. The questions where hard. Here it is, it's not in order:

1. What is your husband address?

she got it right.

2. Rent or own? how much?

she got it right. she said around 2-3 hundred. he said so how much? I didn't tell my wife the exact number. The contract was in 2001 and it's a fixed contract so it still at a really good rate.

3. How is the weather there?

she got it right

4. Who does he lives with?

she got it right

5. What year did his family came to the U.S? Under what program?

she answer 1994 or 1996. They said to give an exact answer and she said 1996, and under Humanitarian Organization. which is right.

6. Who did he came to the U.S with?

With his family. She got it right

7. When did you and your husband meet at the first time?

My wife explain of how we saw each other through webcam and talking, etc... for more than 1 year... but he said when did you meet in real life? The answer was Aug, 29th and they said only 11 days and you got married? I guess this is one of it.

8. When did he propose to you? who? Where? How?

she got it right which is May 2008, I proposed to her, on the phone.

9. Who is your husband's bestfriend? What he do for a living? Where does he lives? Your husband and him work at the same place?

She got it right. Computer Programmer, she got it right, She got it right.

10. How did you guys know each other?

Her Cousin who work for my dad for almost 10 years as a caregiver introduce us after knowing me that long.

11. Did you have an engagement?

No

12. On your wedding, anyone from his family came back to vietnam with him?

No. only cousins and their kids. My wife go on explain about how I have 2 older blood-brothers in vietnam and they are the one to represent my parents on our wedding (I think this is where they nailed us). They said Yes or No so that's how my wife got the answer.

13. What school did he goes to? What year did he graduate? What degree?

She got it right, graduate in 2008, computer programmer.

14. What city is his parent lives in?

She got it right

15. What does he do on his time off?

she said listen to music, watch movie about cars, etc... all good answers.

16. Who is his favorite singer?

Phan Dinh Tung (which is right)

17. What is his favorite movie?

Goi Giac Mo Ve (this movie is special to us because in this movie there are two main characters and they have the same name as my wife PHUNG and her older brother LONG. In the movie, they are brother and sister too. This is why it's special to me and my wife).

It's a funny and a great movie. Would recommend to anyone.

18. What is your job?

At first, she said she just go to school for english and forgot about the beauty school that she is taking. Her prior job was a taylor and she said TAYLOR.

19. How much does your husband made a year?

she answer it right. ($40k+)

THESE ARE THE QUESTIONS I REMEMBER FOR NOW. WILL POST MORE IF I REMEMBER.

maybe she wasn't prepared enough for the interview and she was way to nervous and answered the questions in the wrong way. I took my wife to a dich vu place and they got her feeling comfortable what to expect. They even told her about some obscure questions the CO ask. They told my wife to respond to them truthfully like for your question, how much is your rent, your wife should respond, "my husband and I never had the subject of rent come up and we never discussed how much his rent is" or something to that effect. I would try to get dich vu to try to help you for this blue slip cause I think they can make it easier for you to handle it.. the place I used is DICH VU NGUYEN KIM 147 Nguyen Kim, P7, Q10. You can give that place a shot.

Also not having an engagement is a red flag as it is customary or so I have been told and had to go through one. Also proposing over the phone is not too romantic but at that time you have become engaged if she accepted so the correct answer is yes.

Over all it seems the interview went well. I saw from the blue sheet they asked how many times you been to Vietnam and the length of time to include in the timeline. How many times you go there? How long?

It seems that you should be able to get a pink and may need to jump through another hoop. Make sure you address all red flags and anything else you think need addressing in the timeline and go get the pink.

We chose IOM so we'll see if they can help us with this matter first before I do anything. SHOULD I COME BACK TO VIETNAM on the date that given. They gave us a date of September 12th which is on a Saturday. Does the date means that from now to September 12th, we can turn it in or we have to turn them in on the 12th? Like i said, the 12th is a Saturday and they're not working on weekend.

OHHHH, this is depressing! :crying:

You can submit any day m-f 1-3PM... if you have what they need on Monday 8/10.. she can take it then... as soon as you have the needed docs.. take them in and drop them at the window... Just take the needed time to be thourough in your response..

Yes and many go in to resubmit additional info and get the pink that same day. My wife went in days later and resubmitted and got the pink. Sometimes they hand another blue slip and say they will contact later.

Just for them asking for a timeline and all shows me that he may be able to get that pink if he turns in a notarized timeline addressing the red flags. I have seen where they had another hard interview (My wife did not) and sometimes get the pink right away. Why ask for a timeline if they think for sure there is no relationship?

My U.S Representative immigration Agent is looking at our case from the beginning have been notify. I called her and ask her to clarify on the date for me. She also sending an email regarding our matter.

As far as sending in the document to support our relationship, what do we have to send in?

+ Phone bills verify that we've been talking since the beginning

+ Email

+ Snail mail

+ Gift receipts on special occasions

+ Financial Support documents

+ Documents verify that I stayed at her house on my last 2 trips (Giay Tam Tru, Tam Vang)

+ Documents by SSI verify that my parents are disable and can't be travel far away

+ Hotel receipts on my two trips to Vietnam

+ Example of our wedding invitation

+ ITIN for 2008 tax return

+ DETAILED TIMELINE (13+ Pages). I send to my wife 2 copies of the timeline and one of them is turned in but didn't receive back after the interview. Should we turn in the other copy or should we redo the whole timeline again?

Anything else I need to send in?

If we don't need to do the timeline again, my wife got all of the documents to support already with her. We'll see after your guys post to see what I should do. Should I come back before September and go turn it in with her?

Huong, I found out the main points made them feel skeptical in your case. I made it bold as above.

I knew many cases got the same problem as yours. That's why you got the requirement to provide more evidence.

1.Your time of meeting in person is very short before both of you decided to get married.

2.You proposed before you met her in person, the second point for red flag.

3.You knew each other by introduction of relatives -> red flag.

You should think how to explain these points, your very long timeline (13 pages) may make your case worse if you have no more evidence before marriage or no explanation about that short time.

You should not turn in the timeline and other documents too soon, you should check and think carefully about what you wrote.
