I must have been asleep at the wheel to have missed this...

Okay, we know that Marianna's interview is scheduled this week, but she never received any paperwork from the Moscow Embassy (I think that this is the "Packet 3" referenced in the flowchart?).

I will write an e-mail to the Moscow Embassy and ask them. I fear that the interview will not go off as scheduled if the Embassy has not received the correct papers...

Any ideas?

Thanks, kind people...

You really needed to be asking this in the Russia sub forum. There was nothing she needed to send to the embassy, but there is a list of items she needs to bring including her police certificate, medical, DS-230, etc. etc...

I assume you have looked at the embassy website http://moscow.usembassy.gov/fiancee.html as it spells out everything. In the packet she should have received was an invitation but I understand she will not have any problem entering as they will have her name on a list.

Good luck. I hope she has everything ready. If not the interview can be pushed back a month or more to prepare.

Yes, everything she needs is at the link Neonred mentioned, http://moscow.usembassy.gov/fiancee.html . And I can confirm that she'll have no problem showing up without a letter of invitation. She's on the list, they'll be expecting her. In fact, the embassy will generally refuse to send out a second packet and just point you to the website. Let us know if you have any questions the website doesn't address.

If her interview is this week and you have done nothing yet (because you were waiting for packet 3) the problem you are going to have is collecting everything (you have the link already) before the interview date, especially the medical exam, police records, translations, photos, forms, and financial evidence (Moscow asked me to provide I-134, tax transcripts, and employer letter).

It is a pity that you did not ask ahead of time. My fiancee's appointment is next month and we already collected what has been asked from us, except the medical exam. There is other evidence I need to provide (like pay stubs), but the consulate told me that I can send anything I want directly to them via email.

Hmmm. Everything except the police records is still doable if you scramble defcon1. The police records are not trivial though, and even a generous donation to her local constabulary probably won't get them in less than a week. Don't wait until the last minute if you need to reschedule.

Hmm, this has been a concern of mine too. Her interview is in September and we've been working on gathering things now that are after-the-fact of our I-129f submission. One of concerns is the medical interview. Are we responsible for setting the appointment and do we choose the place for her to be screened?

Again, look at the embassy website. It gives you the information. http://moscow.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/medexam.pdf

She will need to make an appointment at one of the four approved clinics. Most people do it in Moscow a day or two before the interview. Tell her to be sure to get a copy of the vaccine records and the DS-3025 from the clinic as it may come in handy later when doing AOS for getting the green card.

Sure and I appreciate the info. You can understand the anxiety of making a possible mistake, reading something wrong: as they say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
