hi guys

i submitted the case on 30 march and got NOA1 two days after.now i got an update that made me worried.here i am pasting this....

Current Status: Request for Additional Evidence Sent

On July 31, 2009, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, call 1-800-375-5283 to update your address.

so please help me how to tackle with this.and what should i do.and how much can it prolong my case becoz of this?

You need to post the exact wording of the requested additional evidence or information. Not a time to freak out, just take care of it. Delays vary from a few days and a month or more. Once you get the RFE, post exactly what it says.

All you can do for right now is wait until you receive the RFE Notice in the mail - only it can tell you what exactly the RFE is for.

(No need pulling your hair out trying to speculate since it could be anything.)

The (kind of) good news is - once you respond to the RFE and assuming what you respond with is what they need, your petition will get adjudicated then and there - so only a slight delay.

thats a bit relief.thnx guys.its been 5 years since our affair started.5 years wait is something which can make anyone pulling hair now :-(
