I know pushbrk loves to answer that question about K3/CR-1, it makes his day!! mmm What the record for the number of time in one day you answered that question hahahaha.

I started down the K3 route but I think I will be switch also. Just need to get all the paper work I left with the wife now.

Did you file the I-130 for your son?

Chase is a USC by birth, He go his passport 6 week after his birth. Why would he need a I-130. OK now you have me worried !!!!

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

ok...i have no son and i thank you for all your comments and advice...i only have filed the 130 and have not sent the 129...i am waiting now for the noa for the 130...i am at the begining stage of this so i guess i will not send the 129 and i will be on the CR1 path....am i correct....and pushbrk i thank you...its just i want to be sure in every step i take...so i sent the 130 sat and am waiting to get the 1st NOA...then i guess i will follow the guide to seek the CR1 path and hopefuly will have no problems...thanks again to all who helped...hoopy
