I live in a rural area. We got the volunteer fire fighters, and we gots Cal-Fire. I was on a buddy's farm when a grass fire 'accidently" started. They charged him $150 for the dozer to scratch the head of the fire after it was put out, a 8 foot wide, and 40 foot long patch.

He goes, "Damn, for that much, let me use that machine to do some real work!"

I am turning on my Dish Network back on tomorrow. 6 months without a DVR and HD about killed me. Basic cable really sucks.

but those premium channels are on top of what you would pay for a basic cable package.. I don't think you can just pay for HBO, Showtime etc...

we have been without cable TV for over a year now and we don't miss it.. we can see eveything we want to see online..
