Well said Comrade Pelosi!.. It's about time America is pulled into the 21st century actually into the mid 20th century for many in Europe! Insurance companies need to be told and told by a representative of the people that the people are fedup being treated like $hite by these companies. We all get sick we all pay an extortionate amount in fee's in copays and more after the insurance stops paying! Shouldn't be like that in this day and age living in whats meant to be the best or one of the better counties on the planet it's a disgrace that so many are basically told to go fuk themselves if they don't have insurance or if they have cancer or if they don't meet whatever requirements these greedy companies pull outta their #######. I've no problem paying x% of my wedges if I knew that I would have access to good treatment if needed that I'd still have access to it if I started my own company or if I became unemployed I'd have it or that people that can't afford it (most of us been there at some point) have access to what is essentially a basic right.

The glory days are still there! Move into an area where there isn't any cable and you actually need a landline.. still you only get once choice in many places.. want DSL without the phone line tuff you have to buy the phone service you don't want or maybe like embarq they will let you have DSL without the phone service but they are still going to charge you extra for it anyway! Monolopies need to have their backs broken, competition is badly needed! I really like what they did in the UK with BT, forced them to allow other operators run on their exchanges, offer services and products DSL.. Phone.. etc. You could get anything from anybody and shop around for it.. here if it's DSL or a phone line the choices are very limited. Although I do agree Skype have kicked em in the nuts good and hard and I'm glad for it!

Right now am on naked DSL, run Vonage don't pay for cable TV.. come on who pays to have commercials thrown at them every 10 fuking minutes? Good god we're paying to see this #######? I just get what I want online.. Hulu, Netflix.. etc I don't mind paying if there are no commercials and don't mind "free" or low cost if there are commercials but I won't pay top dollar for commercials that's insane!

The far right pulpit has made this ####### up in it's head and their sheep rehash it on the internet. Did you live through communism? Do you have any idea what life is like in a real communist state? We are far from this. I can have my fiance talk to you about what life is like in a real communist state. I suppose the Fire Dept's and Police Dept's are all commies too? These are publicly funded too you know? And how about those Marxist teachers in public schools? And lets not forget the public libraries, medicare, veterans association benefits, and the Stalinesq post officers...... Social programs have been in America for a long time it's as American as apple pie and baseball. Hmmmm would you pay A la carte for the fire dept to come put out the fire at your house? Or for a police officer to make an arrest? Doesn't sound too American to me... By the way socialism and communism are very different. And neither one is being implemented by this administration, these are just responses to the 8 years of sleeping behind the wheel will get you and quite frankly we wouldn't be in this mess if it wasn't for the "free for all" capitalist policies of the Bush admin.

So please keep supporting your corporate insurance masters and keep paying your deductibles, premiums, and co-pays. But when they deny you coverage for a heart transplant because you went to the doctor when you were 5 for a heart mummer that you had and have a claims adjuster look into your medical records to try to disenfranchise you, and wash their hands of any benefits you are entitled or that you didn't call the insurance company to approve your emergency open heart surgery to do not complain.

The government is trying to respond to a CRISIS in America. And that's what Americans do in a crisis, We work together to help each other out. And like it or not it's par for the course for the dems being that they pretty much hold the house, the senate and the W.house right now. The only problem is other dems that are under the health and pharmaceutical lobbyists thumbs. So I guess what I'm tiring to say is I thought I lived in an America where the mentality isn't a "Profits before lives" culture. Social programs are not that scary and this is not going to be like "1984" so sit back relax and chill with the commie art work.

If CalFire (formerly CDF) shows up at your property to put out a fire, you can get charged for the visit.
