My fiance and I, we work on our Petition Fiance together without a lawyer, but we have an amazing friend Lisa helping us as she got married same way and her first advice was "go check Visa Journey website". To make it short, we have sent the I-129F Petition for Alien Fiance to USCIS on 2009/07/11 and we got their response on 2009/07/15 and last night 2009/07/31 we received their email saying:

I have to thanks Lisa so much and all of you that share here all information we need to make it happens!

Now we are ready to keep doing what it needs to get married :innocent:

 Really? I find that very interesting to receive a NOA2 in 16 days and no mention is made of the NOA1? I do not mean to sound skeptical. 16 days to receive the NOA1 would be about right. If it was me and considering the problems other people have had when the service center runs amok; If you do not have NOA1 and received NOA2, I smell a problem coming. Does anyone realize that between NOA1 and NOA2 there is a general background check done on the US Petitioner? This has to be one of 3 things:1. A big mistake on the service center's part, 2. Incredible luck. 3 the OP is getting one over on us. Don't really see why someone would do that, but this almost defies logic.

Lady,

With all respect in the world, for God's, go smell a problem coming anywhere but here. If you could, at least, let your envy behind and READ, you would keep your suggestions and frustration behind and avoid all of us to read your mean post with your lack of happiness for anyone but you. I really suggest you to calm down and pray more, God forbid you for your words.

I hope you reach all goals that you have and that you receive whatever you wish in your life.

wow! someone was looking down on you the day your petition was picked up! I can only hope that the rest of us get such good luck!

I do hope they are moving fast, of course we know we have a huge bless on our start. The reasons why you have got it so fast, only God knows and as someone mention, He has a plan for each of us, and of course the 16 days approval doesn't mean that our journey has been easy or fast at all!

I wish all of you good luck!! Stay confident, calm and positive. God's time is the best time ;)

CONGRATULATIONS! You do hold the record for that! I am sure everything is pre-planned already in God's time. And so, whatever it is that He has set forth for your journey, move on and take hold of that glory. It's natural for some people to feel envious, considering they went the same process as you did, waited for months, and still waiting... like me! But that's alright. And whatever the USCIS did with your petition, it is out of the question. You both are just so damn lucky for the 16 days process! I am happy that things really happen by surprise sometimes.

Go celebrate and continue the few more steps ahead. But never forget to keep the faith and of course, the very important thing that had drove us all in this journey, LOVE

I just LOVE everything you wrote above. Thank you with all my heart.

Seconded. This is amazing and infuriating at the same time. Not directed toward the OP of course - I'm very happy and only a little envious for them! But infuriating in view of just how arbitrary USCIS can be about adjudicating these petitions. "In the order they are received" my... left foot.

Hi,

I understand your comment and as I have mention before, I have no idea why we got it so fast. But anyway it doesn't mean our journey is easy and that's our first huge great news in a good while. We really deserve to celebrate now and and I just wanted to post it to give everybody hopes and show that, as far as we don't know why, seems they are getting faster.

I wish all of you good luck, stay confident and pray, don't let the challenge overwhelmed you, sometimes we need time, we just don't know. Patrick and I, we had to be apart for 18 months, and trust me, it was horrible.

Stay positive!

Beinha

I'm a little envious too but we got our NOA2 Thursday, after 4 months, 23 days, so I'm happy for you and for me. Congrats, I hope you continue to run smoothly. I'm so nervous, I could spit. My fiance has to fly from Fortaleza to Recife just to get her medical. Can you believe that a city as large as Fortaleza does not have a certified doctor? It's gonna come fast now.

Congratulations!!!!!!

Take a deep breathe and smile! Is time to celebrate now... I believe we should celebrate all our blesses and suck a great news should be celebrate a lot!

Let me tell you, I live in Florianopolis, SC... its on South and its really far from Rio de Janeiro. Guess if we have certified doctors here? Sure not. They don't make it any easy for us, but as we are playing their rules... lets play, we'll laugh about our fears and challenges with time.

Keep the faith ;)

Hi Cari,

Considering your list, what I had is: our phone bills and emails. As phone bills I actually sent them my Skype phone number, with the receipt of this skype account plus 4 pages with phone calls, with marks on calls to his house, cell phone, mom, brothers and so on). As emails, I made a print of 8 emails showing the full email content - valentines day, birthday, christmas.. - and also I made a print of my email software inbox that shows more than 400 emails between us.

As pictures, we choose 8 pictures, from different years and we had family pictures also, that we took when he come here to meet my family.

If you have any questions on how to put it all together, please, feel free to ask me.

You can add me on Yahoo Messenger: beinha.cabral@yahoo.com

Beinha

My life is perfect now, I'm here with my love and everything is great! I feel blessed, thank you God for all your plans, they are way better than I could have ever asked for.
