I received my EAD a 6 weeks ago and have been applying for Marketing jobs in the Baltimore/ DC area. I have had a few interviews but no luck so far. I am using Monster, CareerBuilder and Indeed.com mainly. Anyone know of any other good sources in this area? I found Hound.com but it charges about $30 a month. Anyone else join this site? Is it worth the money?

Any tips/ advice would be welcomed.

Job fairs are a big recommendation from me - I've always had far more success being able to talk face to face with potential employers and go over my Resume with them than through the internet.

Also you can try "cold calling" some companies - check out their websites, even if they aren't hiring, try walking in and seeing if someone from HR or the department you'd be interested in working in is available, if not at least leaving a hard copy of your resume sometimes gets more attention than emailing it in.

Best of luck!

I agree with FutureAmerican. You are much more likely to be considered for a job if you appear face to face. Also you can try emailing personnel in the company directly, rather than using one of those sites. I've never had luck with online job sites, but gotten good results from face to face and direct email, including my current job :)
