Yes I got all the documents, but after reading them I noticed some minor errors.

I just sent an email to my lawyer to clear them up so I don't have to have her

resurrect my documents at a later date if I hit a snag in the K-1 process.

It never hurts to check your documents, even if they have been prepared by so-called "professionals."

Below is the letter I sent (any names have been omitted).

==========================================================================

Firstly I wish to thank you for your good work which I feel was done in a reasonable time frame.

I just wanted to check these facts because the case has just been concluded.

I just want to be sure I know WHICH of the documents (one or more) constitutes legal proof of divorce.

I believe the "Judgment of Divorce" (3 pages) by itself should constitute such proof.

I want to be sure it doesn't have to be accompanied by any of the other supporting documents

I happened to notice 2 things regarding the supporting documents, neither of which I hope

is of any substance. On p.2 of the Findings of Fact, para. 5, the date of the "Summons with

Notice" and the service upon Defendant were indicated as being the _ day of 2007.

Since the separation agreement was signed in Sept. 2006, this doesn't seem to make sense.

Perhaps it came out that way because you were unable to obtain my files from (previous lawyer).

If it's not material to proving my divorce legally, then never mind.

In the "Notice of Entry" the word DIVORCE is misspelled DFIVORCE.

Again, if that is not material, never mind.

Thank you again,

My new avatar is none other than Judge Andy himself.

I want to thank the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King for having stolen (some of) his words

and the late Gabby Hayes for the "Thankee Jedge" styling.

When the euphoria wears off from the news of my divorce I'll change my avatar.

You should of got a paper from the court house, with a gold seal. That is one. You can go to the court house and get more copies.

I sent my questions to my lawyer. With any luck I'll hear by today.

Thanks

Nice work and a fine young'un to boot.

Lawyer said the judgment of divorce document is all that's necessary.

We are going the K-1 route; we already both have kids.

Her work obligations in BKK may take her through January 2010

so we figure the fiancée visa should roughly coincide with that time.
