I am happy to report that Janna landed at JFK yesterday at 18:15 and was in my arms by 18:45. I don't think we stopped kissing and saying "I love you" until the airport security asked us to move haha. She said the the CBP officer only asked why she had returned back to America after only being away for 3 months, in which she replied "I just wanted to see all the things I didn't have time to see last time, and go to the beach." That was it!!! We prepared like it was check point charlie. She said he was very nice and gave her a a stamp until FEB 4th!! She did mention that two people (A man and a woman) were pulled into a secondary security area.

Today we're going to go hang out in central park and catch a Mets game (Yes, I am a Mets fan, and yes, I know they suck.) Janna has never been to a baseball game so it should be fun. Besides that, we've been making up for lost time ;) hehe

I just wanted to thank everyone in the Russian portal and others who gave their support. I was really going crazy for the last few days, Your support really helped me when I needed it the most. I can finally relax and we can spend out time together until we get our NoA2 (hopefully). You guys have been great. thank you so very much.

Thanks again,

Chris & Janna

And did she say she came to see her fiancé or only mentioned sight-seeing and beach? (she has arrived using her b1/b2 multi entry visa, right?)

+ have fun, NY is a great place on Earth.

Yes, B-2 multiple entry. She only mentioned about her sight seeing and the beach. We talked about how to answer the questions before she arrived. She was honest, but gave them only the info that they asked for and tried to use close ended answers. Nothing more nothing less. Plus I think it helped Janna that she can speak English well. She actually helped the officer talk to the woman in front of her at the PoE.

No body mentioned it that I saw, but travel to Ukraine has pretty easy requirements.

No visa for up to 90 days.

Can stay for 6 months with a tourist visa.

Or that was the deal last time I checked.

Always the best policy it seems :)

Not if the officer checks the files and records that I’m sure they have and sees that a girl is in K1-process.. in this case 'I've returned for sightseeing and beaches' would sound pretty suspicious and might result if not in deportation but definitely spending several hours with the passport and immigration control.

USCIS told us it's very much ok to travel on b1/b2 while K1, btw (that gives me hope ). Just need to be sure you have some material proof showing you are going to return.

A good point, but if you start volunteering information like that you increase your chances of being turned down. Lots of posts here about that, and getting to the visa stage (during the K process or not) can be pretty tough from Eastern Europe in the first place.

Anna made it through the JFK POE unscathed as well on the 10th. They grilled her a little about her previous trips to AK and then one officer hit on her (speaking Russian, "you are so beautiful"). And her luggage was lost in Finland.... It made it to NY and then was shipped Fed Ex next day air up to Alaska. :)

Hehe

Anna was more upset about it than I was. "We should report him! He should be fired!"... No no, I don't think being "known" by anyone working there is a good idea. We'll just count that as the cost of admission. "Welcome to America!... So... you come here often?"

Oh I did. ;) I said, "well at least he wasn't lying".

I got over my jealous tendencies years ago, if I hadn't I'd have no business being with her because it would be miserable for us both.

I think the anger comes from being hit on by somebody in a position of power/authority over her. There's already enough of that kind of bullshit in the Russian workplace (I'm told), she doesn't need the hassle when she's on vacation. She was right to be mad, and if you're mad too (sounds like you're not too bothered though), it has nothing to do with jealousy.

Anyway, too bad she didn't have the pool cue with her. She could have put his 2 ball up in his corner pockets. :D

and snog a lot. :)

I'm not up on my Intraweb jargon. Snog? WTFO?

And in response to your new sig line statement - I agree 100%. Folks should use the entire three months to decide if they really do want to marry. Or, they should do like AK and have their S/O come over as often as possible for more snogging (verb form, right?) and to further the decision making process.

Congrats to you guys up there in Alaska. Have fun playing pool. My wife said the dude at JFK was "extra helpful" (in Russian language, no less) so if it's not the same guy, there are more like him. But... who can blame them?
