Hi,

I have just arrived in the US a few days ago on my K-3 non immigrant visa. Do I need to pay for my Biometrics fee along with my EAD application? I have planned to send my EAD application before my AOS application. I am going to send my AOS application next month after I get my medical done. I was wondering if I could pay my biometrics then?

Thanks

Tony

Yes! It is required to send a biometric fee for EAD along with the application. but if you are going to file your AOS & EAD at the same time you just going to pay one biometric for both but if you are going to file separately, then you're going to pay each.

It's my understanding that as a K-3 you have to file for EAD and AOS at the same time. That's how we are doing it for my husband...and we're using a lawyer---my choice----[i started out with him and he's paid up through the AOS anyway]--he came in handy when we got the 221g--being sent back to USCIS.......AND yes you have to send in the Biometrics fee with the application.....

ANYWAY...If I'm wrong somebody step in and correct me.

K3 can always file EAD before AOS and is not required to file at the same time with AOS. it state in there that EAD is optional.

Tony,

The biometrics fee is for the high-tech fingerprints and photo done for AOS. There is no fee for the simple photo and fingerprint taken to put on the EAD, you do not have to pay a fee for it.
