And, the new immigrant can keep a copy with himself/herself at all times, with all other papers that he/she carries, until the NOA1 letter arrives... and then keep a copy of that until the green card arrives.

Since the I-864 is tied to the I-485, you should probably clip the two 'packages' together. So you'll have (kind of) 3 groups of 'stuff' (the I-485 and all its supporting documents, such as the I-864, G-325a, etc), the I-765 (and its supporting documents) and then lastly the I-131 (and any supporting documents).

In recent letters I would start with

I am XXX, US citizen, petitioner for my wife, XXXX

or

I am YYYY, applicant

etc..

and in document list then I would refer to applicant and petitioner

'2 colour photographs of the applicant"

etc...

I believe it is easier to read.
