I would like to hear from anyone who has filed for a K-1 and a K-2 for the children. I am concern that maybe this is why many delays in alot of the K-1s. If anyone has any timelines or information as to if there approval was delayed for a long time. All information would help me understand why so many have been delayed so long.

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

My K-1 petition included a child to accompany on a K-2.

Children have no effect on timeline...check mine. I had both a K-2 with my wife's K-1 AND a K-2 to follow 10 months later due to education considerations. They are all here, sitting at the dinner table and calling me for dinner right now. You can do it.

Gotta go eat.

Thanks for all of the input, the wait isn't what bothers me, it is that nothing is a solid time frame with any of the centers, Vermont is awlful and so slow with everything they do. I go to china about every 2 months and it is about that time, I just don't want to go before the NOA2 comes. Then I am for sure going to China for the interview.

Mine was approved in Vermont in 58 days, with TWO children "attached"...but that was last spring, when everyone in California was waiting 6 months. Things have changed. Unless you are gone for quite some time it will not affect anything for you to go. After NOA2 it takes a minimum of 3 weeks for the petition to end up in China, so it isn't something you need to jump on immediately and you can prepare nearly everything for the interview now. If need be, have someone check your mail. There is really nothing for you to do after the notice arrives except prepare for the interview and you can do that now.
