Nice double post Len :P Bamboo, I would say.

Appointment was good, thanks for asking - I have two scars about an inch long on the flowers on my shoulder - stitches come out Friday in a week and then I start physiotherapy. He said he removed the bursa and the bits of tendon that were shredded plus he shaved off bone. I have to cool it with an ice pack and take it easy, but should move the arm despite the pain. He gave me a sick slip until September 18th, how crazy is that. I will be off work for 49 days in a row incl. the vacation in end of September.

I try to do a lot by myself and then pay the price for it. I should have known that making a pony tail would end in serious pain. I am on no pain meds - I could, but don't feel like it. The pain I am going through now is a stinging one, but still way better than the painI had before the surgery, which was a nerve pinch pain going all over my arm all the way into my hand.

My Mom had to cut up my cutlet for dinner lol and needed to cut the spaghetti for me. I can't even pull up my pants after using the bathroom, how sucky is that? Now Mom is tired and asleep on the sofa next to me, with the cat in between us. And I am bored. And my scars itch.

Oh that sucks! Great that he was able to fix everything and you get loads of time off work. Hopefully you don't start to go mad sitting around and doing nothing. At least you have public transport and don't have to rely on yourself to get around when you feel like getting out. You will quickly figure out how to do things with your feet. Obviously you're not going to be cutting up your dinner with your toes, but the feet come in handy when you can't use your arm.

I suggest taking loads of vitamin C because it helps with healing. Anything your body doesn't use will just come out with your urine.

Yeah, luckily typing only requires my hand to move only and not my shoulder. Arm is resting on a pile of pillows, with the mini laptop on a tray.

well, in any case, do not over stress the one arm that's working you hear me???? otherwise there will be Mexican fury after you :bonk:

OH, Julia, have you heard about strawberry net?? I just bought from them a Benefit powder collection for like 30% of its cost. They have a lot of skincare as well

Zinc sulfate is also excellent for healing. Great for wounds. I also suggest getting lots of iron at this time - it is amazing how when your iron levels are excellent your healing is excellent. So eat your beef!!!!

Che, Hermana - How ya doing today? Thanks for the call. :D

Amby - fantastic news...no more appendages. BTW, I posted on Len's FB wall that you should try Dermablend...might help ya out. Your mom can probably get you some samples from a dermatologist or cosmetic surgeon. When my sister got married, she wore a strapless dress and had to use them on her back where she had a huge scar from melanoma surgery. :star:

Everyone else - peace!

Oh oh oh!!! Almost forgot to mention something that happened yesterday that TOTALLY made my day...

I talked to sister Staashi on the phone!!! :star: :star: :star:

It was lovely...can't wait to talk again in the future. :star:
