True-and I suppose if they've actually managed to write a book on something as dry as Radar Theory and Operations-I guess they deserve to make you read it-even if they are not getting profit-their name is out there. All I have taught is college mathematics-and I am happy to use others' work as a textbook...

What they should do is get a fvcking life :lol: ---kidding! And I used either edited collections or reading packets. Variety.

my mom is on her way over to take out my drain. i'm so excited. i can't believe i'm so excited about a stupid tube coming out of me.

I think I'm so excited because everyone on my plastic surgery forum keeps saying how much more "human" they felt once their drains were out and they didn't have to worry about messing with them anymore. I hope to feel human in about 5 minutes :lol:

:lol: I know - I hated my drains...felt like they were flopping around when I walked and such. :dead: I was like: I don't need these new appendages. Yikes!

So. After 2 vets and a whole lot of crying...I've taken out a freaking pet care loan to have Finnegan's surgery. I just can't euthanize him without trying something. He's only 9 and we've only done antibiotics before. If this doesn't work then I will have to either euthanize him or see if the local no-kill cat rescue center will take him. I hate to give him up, but if he needs thousands of dollars in surgeries I'd rather give him up than have to put him down.

God, what a freaking morning. Plus, I have to go get my dog from Bremerton where she's been staying with my sister. My niece is close to giving birth so my sister is flying out tonight, a week earlier than planned.

Jen, a no-kill shelter will actually put him down if he is ill. They will not allow a sick animal to live as there are too many healthy kitties that they need to place instead. I'm sorry about having to tell you this, but I do know this to be a fact from an investigative story I read recently about SPCA shelters. Also, one of my very best friends is a wife of a country vet who does all the euthanizations for a no-kill shelter for just this reason.

No one can tell you what to do, but I would like to say that if it was my kitty - and lord knows I've had to put down three animals myself, I would want it to be me to put my kitty down - give it the best day possible (maybe a cheeseburger or a can of tuna), lots of love, and then have a vet do it in the most humane way to take him out of his/her suffering. I just can't imagine putting an animal who I love so much into a no-kill shelter where they will just put him down without me to be there telling him/her how much I love them and will meet them again someday. :crying: as I write this. If your cat is suffering he'd tell you the same thing.
