I just saw the 3 best reasons for birth control at work tonight. And the father didn't say anything. One of them ripped an iphone off of the display and was running through the store with it. The dad just laughed when I plugged it back into the wall and the alarm went off. He then said "Well, I wonder why the alarm didn't go off when she got it?". They then went back into the office and threw pie(our manager got us peanut butter pie today) on the wall and then ran out and started writing her name ALL OVER the store in disinfectant! And again, the dad only laughed.

Ugh. I love children, but these weren't children. They were MONSTERS!

You aint kidding! His wife came in the store a little later with a baby on her hip. Those people must not have cable TV or something. I think they need to find a new hobby and never reproduce again!

I thought seriously about asking him to reign in his children. But each time they'd do something to destroy our store, he'd tell them to share. It's a cell phone store, not Toys R Us. But I think that he was too concerned with other things to pay attention to what they were doing. I'm not paid to be his babysitter.

I honestly feel bad for these children when they grow up.

I had a kid once run around the store where I used to work and write "FREE" on all the big price tags. I told his mother who in turn, did nothing. I advised her afterwards that only 'supervised' children were allowed in the store. She did nothing. So I told them I was going to call the police because this child was vandalizing my store. They left. ;)

I'm making some honey glazed cipollini onions as an experiment. I will make them at Thanksgiving if they're good :P

Amby, Cracker Barrel makes roasted Vidalia onions - they just put them in a pan whole and let them roast away. They caramelize and look beautiful. They serve them with sour cream. :star::thumbs:

Kinda late as a reply, but I'm scared to take prenatal vitamins Stashi. When I'm actually trying to get preggers and when I am pregnant I will take them anyway, but until then, I don't want to because of the below.

I don't know if you guys remember, but I was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2007. I had surgery, but until July of this year, I was still showing positive for cancer cells. Well, prenatal vitamins have A LOT of Folic Acid. Folic Acid is good, in general, but for people with cervical and colon cancer excess amounts of Folic acid have been shown to actually make the cancer worse! Folic Acid encourages cell division and growth...which is awesome if you have a bunch of healthy cells! But if you are full of bad, partly cancerous cells, cell division and growth is bad!!!

I did a lot of research about it. Because I wanted to make my reproductive system as strong as possible, so I thought, hey! I'll start taking prenatal vitamins!! Then when I was reading about what was IN prenatal vitamins I saw an article advising people with colon and cervical cancer speficially not to take Folic Acid vitamins. If get folic acid from eating leafy greens too. I'm not saying I should cut out Folic Acid, but why take a pill to pump my body up with more!?

Anyway, so in July I was told the cancer is 100% gone and the doctor was pretty surprised and amazed. So I suppose I could take them now...but because of my history, I think I'll wait until there are really needed! :)

I completely understand! :star:

So I have another flat tire...#######?! 2 flat tires in 2 weeks!? FML

Del is going to come on his lunch break to change it to the spare. I told him I could try to do it myself, but that I really didn't think I'd succeed. When he gets here I'm going to watch extra carefully and try to learn how to do it! He says my tires are really old and that's why they are so easy to go flat from the littlest provocation! I have no idea what happened this time though, I didn't run over anything or anything! Maybe a nail is in it or something!

So annoying. I need to get 3 new tires really, but tires here are SO expensive! They are like R$250 each! (that's like $125USD per tire!). So more or less US$375 for 3 tires! :( )

That's about what it costs in the USA, too.

Marina that's normal price in the US as well.

Any of you ever use blister bandaids? I have a blister on my foot from these silly cheap heels I wore for a wedding and I can't get rid of it. I bought some of those bandaids and wondered how good they work? I've used them before but it was a long time ago so I don't remember.

They're okay, does it's job. What I really like to do is get the moleskin sticky things and put those in my shoes. They feel amazing and I don't get blisters anymore when I wear them.
