They found a dead baby across the road from my office yesterday. Thrown away in a bush in the park in the financial district. How anyone cold do such thing to a precious baby totally escapes me.

that is awful Julia ---I saw my friend yesterday and -for those who were not paying attention yesterday- his baby died on Sunday afternoon. One of twins --- fvcked up. But my friend is holding up, with a lot of love from all of us freaks. Len, on the other hand, has been crying up a storm.

Exactly right. I believe there are many sanctuary places where you can just drop baby off, right? Like churches, ERs and whatnot. This is heart breaking.

i'm so sick of this fukcing job. I really think my boss wants to let me go, seriously, because i have a baby now and I can't be here at all times anymore. She just called me saying that i ignored her boss's boss, the top woman on this organization. oh please., I never do that, specially with VIPs. Everytime someone comes in i stop typing and make eye contact, i always make eye contact, she said that the woman said i was on the phone and didn't greet her, #######.

Lots of love to you Len, I am so sorry about your friend's baby. It crossed my mind a couple of times today, because I felt so stirred up by the dead baby in the park. I noticed police cars and crime scene tape in the park when I was at the photocopier yesterday. We get the occasional drug victim in that park (we look down at the park from my office building) or demonstrations, all kinds of stuff really (like three days ago we had the base jumpers landing in exact that park), so it was not an unusual sight. I found on later that day on the news.

'Luckily' it turned out that the baby was not violently killed, it was a premature baby (6-7 months) and probably died sometime before/ during the delivery. I feel terrible thinking about the whole thing. The news said it was probably a junkie mom.

I just came back from Mom's. I didn't bring Cleo with me today. I could not carry her and her 'household' (scratch post, litter box, litter, food etc) with my shoulder today. next attempt is Saturday. Also, since I am on Metformin and bc (Yasmin) now, starting 4 days ago, I am so emo, every little thing makes me cry (unitl the hormones adjust, I guess). On the way to my Mom's place I cried in the taxi, because the girl on the radio talked about how her Mom buys her books to read. I am emotionally so wound up, it's terrible. And I am quite thick skinned. Usually.

eta: Sorry to hear that your boss seems to have an issue with you. Is she the one that wanted to help you in the hospital? Have you thought of applying for other jobs in your area? Sending out a few CVs won't hurt and you can see what your options are.

sorry you're feeling that way. hormonal changes can be difficult sometimes. she's the one that offered to be in the hospital but then she didnb't even go visit me. not like i had the baby when she was busy, it was a scheduled event, she could've planned a visit. she's also the one who said we're gonna throw u a baby shower, what do you need for the baby? i never said i needed anything, wouldn't do that, and she never threw me a babyshower, not like she didn't have time, just because she's full of #######. i hate people like that, that calls my baby ''name of the company'' baby. we're your family.

Nessa, I told you before damnit --- you have to call HR about this #######. This woman is making a hostile working environment for you, and that ####### is against the law. What a b1tch. what does charles think about it? Man, b1tches like this really pizz me off.

i'm thinking of starting looking for jobs. not go crazy and apply for any ####### like when i was unemployed and desperate. it's just not easy, good jobs are not easy to find, speciallybecause my college education is worthless here. i won't apply for anything that pay less, and the pay here is quite good. workhours have to match daycare schedule, etc, not easy

I'm with Len - you do need to talk to HR. You shouldn't have to suffer in silence over this stuff.
