16 hours until I fly out and my place it a mess and I haven't packed anything.

Well, I have all night. Cleaning will take me an hour, packing 15 minutes.

I am cranky. Again.

Julie - good luck packing and cleaning, too - I hate the impending madness of trip preparation. I also like your knot thingie - I'm all for that. I see it like this - even the gheys should have the opportunity to enjoy the undeniable f'd up bliss that is marriage.

P.S. - Hi all!

Che, Len, felicidades on your Green Card, hermana!!! That is wonderful. I didn't know it had happened until I read your siggie. That's so nice compared to our 10+ month ordeal (but we had a speedy naturalization. ;) )

cultural differences

An American, a Japanese and a Chinese went for a hike one day. It was very hot. They were sweating and exhausted. When they came upon a small lake, they took off all their clothes and jumped into the water since it was fairly secluded.

Feeling refreshed, the trio decided to pick a few berries while enjoying their "freedom." As they were crossing an open area, suddenly a group of ladies from town appeared.

Unable to get to their clothes in time, the American and the Chinese quickly used their hands to cover their privates. But the Japanese covered his face while they ran for cover.

After the ladies had left and the men got their clothes back on, the American and the Chinese asked the Japanese why he covered his face rather than his private part.

The Japanese replied, "I don't know about you, but in my country, it's the face that people recognize."

 Angry cat! Lenina, I didn't see that you got your 10 yr GC - so glad it went well and the process was not too painful

Yay for gay marriage and I am glad to hear you agree with my sister Staashi :D

I am watching extreme home make overs again. Such a tearjerker. Single Mom died of a heat attack at 37, left twins behind. She died while holding her daughter in her arms. Her brother now takes care of the kids like a father and mother. Unfortunately he lives in a horrible house and they now make them a new house and opened a trust fund for the kids for college.
