I called the NVC today to check on the status of my case. I discovered that someone had entered my fiance's birth date wrong in the system and they would only give me the case number and nothing more. I asked the very friendly woman if it looked like they had switched the month and year and she said that it did. She wasn't supposed to tell me what the birth date entered was though. So my question is, now that I know how the birth date is entered in the system, even though it is wrong, is it safe for me to call back and use the incorrect birthday to obtain further information? Do they track the calls you make to the NVC? Will this get me in to trouble? Should I just wait until I get them to correct this? I am sick of waiting.

This actually happened to me. after figuring out they had my bday wrong i kept calling and guessed a few different Bdays, different month, switch month and day etc. they had my month completely wrong. They allowed me to send an email to NVC correcting the info (had to also resubmit a copy of my Birth Cert and passport to prove. It was corrected instantly

This is the email I sent to NVC Attorney

Please find attached scanned documents of my passport and birth

certificate for review. Please correct/update my (petitioner) birth date

on all 4 cases listed below so I can proceed to speak with you.

Thank You!
