I want an avatar, but my pics are too big and I get an error. Can anyone help or is it too complicated to explain? :help: thanks!

These are the requirements for an avatar. Your avatar must be no bigger than 100 pixels by 100 pixels in size. Uploaded avatars from your computer must be no larger than 16 KB.

The following file types are allowed: gif, jpeg, jpg, swf, png. If you have a photo edit program on your computer, you can use it to resize your pic or avatar. If all else fails, send me a pm and I will be glad to do it for you.

You can use paint to resize photos. Or you can e-mail me the picture and I can do it for you and send it back to you.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

If you have a photo editing program, you should be able to save the photo as a smaller file. Open the photo. Do "Save As", then look for options to save the program. Then save it as small a file as possible. Be sure to give the new file a different name from the original so that you do not loose the size of your origianal photo. It's good to resize the photo to a square format, for the vj avatar, this way your subject will be well centered.
