NOA Date = The Receipt Date on your original NOA letter

Biometrics = The Date of your biometrics appointment

I send mine Aug 5 and my check was cashed yesterday aug 13.

We will maybe recieve our NOA today or monday

So, exactly what is the NOA1? Is it the letter that extends the Green Card one year?
Does it also set the appointment for the biometrics?

I do know it is the extension letter for the GC, but I am not sure about the appoinment

Question - hubby's permanent resident card expires on 12/3/09. So counting 90 days backward would put us at Sept 4th. Should I send the paperwork on the 4th or a few days earlier so it'll get there on the 4th? What did everyone else do? Thanks!

I would say not earlier than sept 1. They don't like it outsite the open window

So, exactly what is the NOA1? Is it the letter that extends the Green Card one year? Yes - it the notice that they received your petition and also is the proof of extension.
Does it also set the appointment for the biometrics? No - biometrics appointment will come on a separate notice.
