Don't know about you guys, but the USCIS email system is going crazy!
1 - 30th Nov - snail mail letter - Approved

2 - 7th Dec - email Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED - Current Status: Card production ordered.

3 - 8th Dec - Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED - Current Status: Card production ordered.

4 - 10th Dec - Application Type: CRI89 , PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED - Current Status: Approval notice sent.

Wut?

I would say - this sounds about right. I think this is the proper process of receiving mail. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!

I think the people who receive them in the logically proper order should worry! :whistle:

But even those whose 'cases last forever' can solve their problem by filing for natz (which will force I 751 adjudication). I've never understood nervously awaiting ROC either - as long as you have your letter extending your status, big whoop. Unless maybe you've not planned on naturalizing.
And Tonyeck - yes the online system/emails are crazy!!!

It's not a matter of "nervously" waiting but annoyance at the random and unfair nature of how USCIS processes these applications. There is a concept called "due process" in the US legal/political system and something is very wrong with the due process at USCIS when some applications are being processed months ahead of others in the same service center. Let's take some specific examples:

It's now 12/11/09 and still nothing. If you were at a restaurant being seated at about the same time with others and your party ends up being served 5 hours later than most others, you and your party would be pretty annoyed as well. You wouldn't be nervous, but annoyed.

People have every right to be annoyed when they are ostensibly being treated unfairly. Keep your cavalier, snide disregard for others' concerns to yourself. You have no right to belittle other people's concerns.

This thread is specifically suited for fellow members to vent their frustrations while going through this frustrating ordeal.

you do realize that your biometrics took more time than other 3 examples...os uscis processed those applications whose biometrics and subsequent FBI clearance is completed..that explains why compared to other examples you cited there has been some delay in your approval...and beyond reasonable doubt we donot know what documentation they have submitted...its just my opinion...i may be wrong...

My guess, they do this on purpose so the appear to be doing something, but most probably your file is on someones desk collecting dust with a post it saying "Do not touch until Jan 2010".

I really feel your agony, frustration and anger. If you plan to apply for citizenship once you are allowed, then I recommend you put this aside and don't let it bother you more than it should, and apply for naturalization and get that over with.

I think that was part of his point. His sample list shows applications filed around the same time, yet, they were receiving approval letters, while he was still awaiting to attend the biometrics appt. Granted his local office may not have had earlier openings for biometrics, but it does make on wonder.

Since the outside world can't really appreciate the process, it is nice to be able to come to the this site to celebrate a small step in the lengthy process or gain a reality check when a situation seems more than one can handle. I know my parents look at me oddly when I am talking about the process

It really does amount to frustration and not angst.

"e-Filing System Outage on Dec. 11, 2009

The e-Filing System will be unavailable on Friday, December 11, 2009 from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM EST.

We apologize for any inconvenience."

I hope it is not affecting our I-751 normal process in VSC.

I think that refers to certain applications which can be done online. Obviously I 751 is not one of them.

I think it means that submitting an application online is not currently working.

Well, there certainly does seem to be some anger in this thread, which is a shame.

So let's take a moment to remember all the hard work we have all done to get to where we are today to be in a great country with our loved ones, especially over the holiday season. Let's think of those who are still in the K1 stages of things who will be far away from their significant others with a very long journey with the USCIS ahead of them. I am certainly thankful for where I am today and I never forget it.

I'm sorry for those who have to wait longer than others when it seems to make no sense, but rest assured, they will get to you eventually and as you probably know, had nothing to worry about.
