Technically, I think you're a September filer, allswell (since your NOA1 date is in September); but congrats anyway!

He likes to tell his story to everybody though. Yep, God is always great, dude! Cool story, bro.

Wish I had your problems.

It certainly wasn't a complaint regarding a problem. Just an observation - No need to be snide about it

I understand that people (not relating this to you sh18, just as a general comment) get a little worried over removing conditions, but really, if you have a relatively straight forward case, there is very little to worry about. It's up to the USCIS to prove a fraudulent marriage at the end of the day and it's extremely rare for a denial when you have no reason to be denied. The scary stuff was the K1 stuff, or the adjustment of status where there was much more to worry about. During this stage I pretty much just let it be, expecting to wait 5+ months to hear something. I knew once I had my extension that I was fine, and if it got to close to a year I'd figure it out then.

Ultimately, the USCIS does a good job, especially when their job is quite a hard one. I am sure they are busy, and while it might seem easy to us to go through an application, I am sure it does take a while to properly review each case to a specific standard they must live up to. Sometimes the time lines seem backwards to us, but that's just the way it works out.

And yes, there are certain cases that seem to just last forever for whatever reason - those are the people I feel terrible for.

But even those whose 'cases last forever' can solve their problem by filing for natz (which will force I 751 adjudication). I've never understood nervously awaiting ROC either - as long as you have your letter extending your status, big whoop. Unless maybe you've not planned on naturalizing.

And Tonyeck - yes the online system/emails are crazy!!!

It's not a matter of "nervously" waiting but annoyance at the random and unfair nature of how USCIS processes these applications. There is a concept called "due process" in the US legal/political system and something is very wrong with the due process at USCIS when some applications are being processed months ahead of others in the same service center. Let's take some specific examples:

CHERYLANDMIKE......08/10/09..........08/11/09................09/04/09............09/18/09

and ours:

It's now 12/11/09 and still nothing. If you were at a restaurant being seated at about the same time with others and your party ends up being served 5 hours later than most others, you and your party would be pretty annoyed as well. You wouldn't be nervous, but annoyed.

People have every right to be annoyed when they are ostensibly being treated unfairly. Keep your cavalier, snide disregard for others' concerns to yourself. You have no right to belittle other people's concerns.

This thread is specifically suited for fellow members to vent their frustrations while going through this frustrating ordeal.

Never did I say people had no right to be annoyed - of course they do. I was summarily as annoyed in the I 129f petition phase when people who filed a month after I had were being approved. Its obvious that they don't have all their ducks in a row, and it IS frustrating and maddening.

I guess what I was trying to say is that had I been in this position for ROC, I'd be less annoyed than I was during the I 129f - mostly because I am not as attached to the final outcome. But everyone is welcome to be as upset about it as they want to be. Was just expressing an alternative point of view.
