I received the notice through snail mail - online status is as always - Application Received

That is interesting to note. At least it gives hope to those whose status is perpetually in "Application Received" status.

Congrats on your approval.

I got the letter and next day I received a SMS and an email your card is ordered

I got the approval notice yesterday Dec 3 by snail mail :thumbs:

Seems like most of us are getting snail mail first, then online/email are catching up.

2007:

February, 06: Sent I-129f package to the US to be routed to Vermont

February, 09: I-129f forwarded to Vermont USCIS from US Home

February, 12: I-129f arrives VSC :) Journey really starts!

February, 13: NOA1 Reciept date

February, 16: VSC Cashes the check

March, 09: NOA2 Email. yay!

March, 11: Touched... Probably for the last time at VSC :)

March, 14: NVC Recieved package

March, 15: NVC Sent package to London

March, 20: Package recieved in London

March, 28: Packet 3 recieved!

April, 2: Packet 3 Sent back to London

April, 10: Packet 3 recieved by London Embassy

April, 17: Packet 4 recieved

May, 1: Medical

May, 29: Interview! - APPROVED

June, 1: Visa in Hand

July 18: Fly back together POE

July, 24: Legally married!

Sept. 3, 2009 Infopass

Sept. 4, 2009 New I-751 submitted with another fee

Sept. 25, 2009 I-797C NOA received with 1 year extention dated Sept. 14, 2009

Ok For me I first got a text message that I should check my case online. Then I saw Card was under production. Few days after I recieved a text again and this time the status online was approval notice sent.

And then yesterday I got the letter by snail mail. So for me it is normal procedure I guess

I think that their internal system is updated immediately (once a case look at), however, I think their external system (which we can access) gets updated once in so many days, which might explain why some people receive their snail mail first then the email/text msgs.

Well, I requested a re-entry permit in May 2008, I received it, it's expired now, and I still see the status of the application: "still in review"... :whistle:

FYI Hubby's 10 year GC arrived today - only 5 working days after the card production ordered email was sent!

Same here. My green card arrived yesterday friday :D
