This freaking stinks!

Wife's application was sent off 8/13 to CSC. NOA receipt date 8/17. Biometrics 9/16. Touched 9/17. Then silence to this day.

Please add me to timeline. Note we're CSC. I'm getting really worried and annoyed. I see CSC filers who received their approval all the way back in Sept? #######?

We've received no word of RFE or an interview. So we assume they're not going to ask for a RFE this late in the game. We're assuming we're stuck due to processing reasons?

I just want it soooooo badly.... then next year June, I start the stress all over again for my citizenship....

SCREEEEEEEAM!!!

What would be the reason to stress over the citizenship? What's the worst thing that could happen? You won't get it?

One thing my lawyer told me when I did my AOS was the FBI background check takes different periods for different people. I don't know if this is the case for you (as well as others) whom appear to still be waiting for approval while other filers that sent their applications after them already got approved. I don't mean to scare you, by the way. I am starting the develop this feeling that there is a great deal of randomness happening at USCIS.

The only thing I believe you need to stress over is if you are not good in English or have a bad memory and can't remember the answers. In fact, when you do your citizenship, the ball is more on your side of the court and you're the one who needs to make sure you can answer the 6 out of 10 question.

Applying for citizenship is the easiest part of this entire process.

My point is: why be stressed? Rejected citizenship? so? You still get to stay and work in the country? Rejected I-751? Much more problematic. So I really don't understand people stressing over citizenship...unless they urgently want to sponsor parents or smthg.

Sometimes some take longer, but as we can see from these lists overwhelming MAJORITY get processed within certain period of time.

Sorry to change subject suddenly, but I've seen so many people add a "touched" step in their timelines. What does that mean?

Sorry! I guess I wasnt clear... I am stressing over the fact that I applied to have my conditions removed in August, did the biometrics and have not been touched since September 17.... MY STRESS IS I want my CONDITIONS TO BE REMOVED without any RFE, and then... once that is over.... I WILL STRESS again next year June for my citizenship. One of my stress about that is, it asks if you have been married before and the legal status of your exhusband, mine was and is still is... here after his visa expired. I dont want to throw him under the bus, as I dont know if I will be asked about it at the interview, so am thinking of giving him some time to sort himself out. He is my child's father!

My guess is...I'd be the last on this list to be approved.

My *first* biometrics was on Sep 18. I received a letter from USCIS two weeks after asking me to go back because my fingerprints couldn't be processed by the FBI. So ok...I went back on Oct 9...and the person who took my fingerprints was still the same one who took my fingerprints before. The machine was not accepting my prints...(I don't know why :(). I told him I was concerned...and he reassured me by saying "don't worry, they will not ask you to come back three times. Even if they do, just make sure to mention that we've done your biometrics twice already". Needless to say, I was not reassured at all. But hey, what can I do, right?

Anyways...I'm happy for all the VSC approvals...but I dunno...I'm not feeling mine's coming anytime soon.

You can see the last updated date in the USCIS online tool for your application: so some people check it very frequently and record every time someone did something on their application.

If your application is getting checked by the FBI, you should be very close to getting your answer...

I hope you will get your answer sooner than you think!
