Finally, I received my 10 year GC in the mail today. I have it on hand. I can now go to DMV to update my state ID and will have no problems leaving the country on January 2010.

That's quick.... only 1 1/2 month from the time I sent out my papers to USCIS.

REMOVING CONDITIONAL STATUS ( green card will expire on October 24, 2009)

08/24/09..... Sent out my form I- 751

08/26/09..... Package received and was signed by V. SEMEGI

08/27/09..... Check processed

08/31/09..... I-797C, NOA1 received (conditional status extended for 1 year)

09/14/09..... Received my ASC appointment letter for my Biometrics which will be on September 26. 2009 @ 1pm

09/26/09..... Fingerprinting done (an hour early and they let me in and was surprise coz i was the only applicant till i was done)

10/02/09..... Card Production Ordered (email message)

10/06/09..... Approval Notice Sent (email message)

10/08/09..... I- 797C, NOA2 received in the mail

10/09/09..... 10 Year Green Card on hand..... YAHOO!!!!

Still waiting here too. My wife had her biometrics 9/16 and nothing since. Hope we will hear something soon.

Just checked the mail box today and my wife's interview appointment letter was there. Must have arrived in yesterday's mail. Our interview date is October 20, 2009. Phew! Nervous already!!! I just pray for approval so we can be done for at least awhile....until the wife decides if she wants citizenship. :) Then we get to start the game all over again. :wacko: I so love dealing with the USCIS...NOT!

PS....Anyone else get an appointment letter from their local office and not the CSC? I thought it was strange and hope that doesn't signal problems. Just wondered if that is common practice. Thanks!

I must've missed your posts. Why are you having an interview?

Anyway, good luck on her interview and I'm guessing 10/20 will be your approval date then.

Interviews used to be the norm so it's not a huge deal if someone is interviewed.

ETA the local offices schedule the interviews so the appointment letter SHOULD come from the local office. The service center has no dog in that hunt - all they do is transfer the file there.

please post how interview goes and what q's they ask, it is unusual now adays to interview for ROC unless you did aos without one. good luck

Congrats on fast approval, I noticed that so many filers on VJ from Asian countries in August that are in CSC region are getting very fast approval in CSC, probably has to do with FBI background biometric check system working faster with Asian countries now, since I notice several have filed much later than others in August and already gotten approval. :unsure:

15 Dec 2011 - OATH DATE - US Citizen!!!

28 Aug 2009: NOA receipt date - received letter in mail on Sept 1 2009 (from ESC)

25 Sept 2009: Biometrics appt - quick, easy...done
