Hello fellow filers.... I received today my I-797C, NOA Receipt Notice.

Can anyone pls. update me... I don't know how to do it.... hehehe!!!!

I have a question... Is this the letter that I'll be using together with my expired green card when I travel abroad? I already have plain tickets for my vacation back home on Jan. 2010. I hope this it..... And hoping that I'm not going to received an RFE letter.

Another and final question, hehehe!!!! How will I know the updates or replies from this forum? I never received any emails, so at least I can be updated.

I have to admit I was expecting my NOA1 from VSC by now. It was sent on the 20th August and arrived on the 21st. Check was cashed on the 24th (same as TracyTN) :(

February, 12: I-129f arrives VSC :) Journey really starts!

March, 09: NOA2 Email. yay!

March, 11: Touched... Probably for the last time at VSC :)

March, 14: NVC Recieved package

March, 15: NVC Sent package to London

March, 20: Package recieved in London

April, 2: Packet 3 Sent back to London

April, 10: Packet 3 recieved by London Embassy

I send in same time as u to VSC, no NOA yet, I guess maybe they are in summer vacation now.

2007 Oct: Received PR green card

2011 Nov: Voluntarily Abandoned PR green card (due to relocation oversea). Received FREE B1/B2 & C1/D Crew US visa

2024 APR: Planned for EB2-C from Taiwan as Professional Pilot

Tomorrow I am going to my bio appointment.

Do I need to bring my passport from my country of origin when I have my green card with me?

I got a little issue with that because my passport will expire the end of this month, I have been setting up an appointment already for a renewal.

I believe you do have to have it - though whether or not they ask for it seems to be very inconsistent.

I remember last time I should show it. But ofcause I didn't have my green card back then, but ok I better bring it. At least it is still not expired.

Luz did her Biometrics today. As some of you may know, Robin got a Bio date of Sept 15. They did allow him to do his today and save us another 6 hour round trip. I found it amusing that they made it a point to tell him that this is the only time they would do this. The next time he would have to come on his appointment day. I didn't bother to tell the fool that this would be the last time he would need to do a biometrics since this is for removing conditions or point out that they would have to have the memory of an elephant to remember him. Oh well, all's well that ends well.

The letter that Luz and Robin got didn't mention a passport, only a green card and another form of ID. We didn't have theirs today and they didn't ask for it.
