Hello all!!! It's been 2 years :wow: and it's time to file I-751 which was mailed on 08-21-09, that been said can anyone please add JesTan01 "Jesse -N- Tania 2001:-Year we met" :D to the August filers??? Thank you!!!

I just learned something today that I thought I would pass on. When using the USPS, don't assume because you live in California and are also mailing something (I-751) within Californa that standard mail will be as fast as priority mail. I mailed our packet First Class mail USPS figuring with such a short distance to go it wouldn't take long. WRONG! I just got my return receipt. I mailed it on the 14th of August and it wasn't received by CSC until August 24th. :wacko: I could have walked it there faster than that! And they wonder why the postal service is going down the tubes. It ain't just because of email! That was reeeeee-diculous!

In the instructions it says that you should send it as certified mail. Thats what I did

I sent it certified mail too as instructed and with a return receipt. The problem was that I assumed with such a short distance to travel that first class mail wouldn't be any faster than priority mail (which is guaranteed in 2-3 days), yet first class is usually a little cheaper. There is nothing to my knowledge in the instructions about that issue and both types can be sent certified.

I just learned something today that I thought I would pass on. When using the USPS, don't assume because you live in California and are also mailing something (I-751) within Californa that standard mail will be as fast as priority mail. I mailed our packet First Class mail USPS figuring with such a short distance to go it wouldn't take long. WRONG! I just got my return receipt. I mailed it on the 14th of August and it wasn't received by CSC until August 24th. :wacko: I could have walked it there faster than that! And they wonder why the postal service is going down the tubes. It ain't just because of email! That was reeeeee-diculous!

In the instructions it says that you should send it as certified mail. Thats what I did

I sent it certified mail too as instructed and with a return receipt. The problem was that I assumed with such a short distance to travel that first class mail wouldn't be any faster than priority mail (which is guaranteed in 2-3 days), yet first class is usually a little cheaper. There is nothing to my knowledge in the instructions about that issue and both types can be sent certified.

I sent it through USPS too and opt to choose priority mail. 2 days after the USCIS CSC received my packet with a signature. We added 2.00 USD so we can track the package and make sure it was signed by the receiver.

REMOVING CONDITIONAL STATUS ( green card will expire on October 24, 2009)

08/26/09..... Package received and was signed by V. SEMEGI

08/27/09..... Check processed

08/31/09..... I-797C, NOA1 received (conditional status extended for 1 year)

09/14/09..... Received my ASC appointment letter for my Biometrics which will be on September 26. 2009 @ 1pm

09/26/09..... Fingerprinting done (an hour early and they let me in and was surprise coz i was the only applicant till i was done)

10/02/09..... Card Production Ordered (email message)

10/06/09..... Approval Notice Sent (email message)

10/08/09..... I- 797C, NOA2 received in the mail

10/09/09..... 10 Year Green Card on hand..... YAHOO!!!!

Send from Mass. to VSC via Priority USPS; it was delivered next day because the distance is so closed.

Check was cashed out last week, still waiting for the NOA.

Just a questions for those who had experience on the I-751, my mailing address is different than the pernament; will the rest of the notification letters go to mailing address or pernament?

We put down two addresses on our application - One that we reside at together - and also put down a Mailing Address (my parents address - that was the original sponsor address we used)

The NOA1 was mailed to the address that we RESIDE at and not to our mailing address. I was actually surprised that it wasn't sent to the mailing address. I'm just happy we got it.

Just a questions for those who had experience on the I-751, my mailing address is different than the pernament; will the rest of the notification letters go to mailing address or pernament?

We put down two addresses on our application - One that we reside at together - and also put down a Mailing Address (my parents address - that was the original sponsor address we used)

The NOA1 was mailed to the address that we RESIDE at and not to our mailing address. I was actually surprised that it wasn't sent to the mailing address. I'm just happy we got it.

The same happened to us. We have always received my husband's USCIS mail at our PO box because it is more secure than our apartment box. We moved and filed the AR-11 for our residential address, and the NOA for the I-751 came to our new residential address instead of to the PO box even though we had noted on the AR-11 that the change was only for the residential address and not for the mailing address. Strange thing is his biometrics letter then went to the PO box, so both addresses are in their system somehow.

I'm the USC.

11/05/2007........Conditional permanent residency effective date.

01/10/2008........Two-year green card in hand.

08/08/2009........Our son was born <3

08/08/2009........Filed for removal of conditions.

12/16/2009........ROC was approved.

11/05/2010........Eligible for Naturalization.

03/01/2011........Separated.

11/05/2012........Eligible for Naturalization.
