I just got an email today as I had emailed about my interview letter not having the date and time printed on it, they finally returned an email to me today and said

" We are having known issues with printing out our Interview letters, we will have a new one sent to you as soon as we solve the issue. "

They didnt answer if i can use the email i printed out with the interview date and time in it but for anyone else who is getting letters that arent printed properly from MTL. This is why! :whistle:

You know, if it wasnt for the great interviews people have, I wouldnt have much faith in the consulate. Failed printing letters, sending outdated forms, stuff getting lost in the mail from them quite frequently. At least they are sending you a new one! Hopefully that has all the right info this time.

Yea, crazy MTL !!! lol figured I would post this incase anyone else had the same issue or got the same issue recently so they would know without trying to deal with waiting for MTL to respond n what not. Really crossing my fingers now for a good interview and a welcome letter when I go!! yikes.

When I worked at domino's I used to send pizza's out the door that weren't cut, I'd wonder how I could have possibly closed the box and not noticed that. I guess you do something a million times and you stop paying attention to the details.

They are suddenly also slow with email responses. I sent them my paperwork by courier this past Monday and emailed them as soon as I knew they were dropped off to ask them to please email me a confirmation that they received the papers. It's Friday and I still have not heard back from them.

However, yesterday I took a chance and called the Dept. of State. Guess what? I'm logged into their system and have been since Wednesday and am only awaiting an interview date now. HAHA! So much for that Montreal, I already got my answer. But it's to be expected and I'm really not surprised that this happened. Thanks to all the VJer's for letting me know about contacting DOS.

who needs a letter... EMAIL works..

geesh...

I was helping a friend get an Australian Visa the other day.. the entire thing is web based.. you just scan your documents and upload them to a secure site. It was incredibly easy & painless.. Montreal.. oh Montreal... :whistle:

Man that sounds nice! I wish it was all online here haha, would be so much faster and easier! Then again.. with the way montreals computers have a lack of functioning... if the pages went down or their computers went down we would all be stuck since all our papers were online filing !! haha :rolleyes:

hurrah! just got this in my email today, hopefully they get the letter out quickly.

Definitely keep a copy of all your e-mail correspondence with Montreal, just in case you don't have the interview letter in time for your interview!
