hello everyone..

me and my husband are going to have our interview on august 17..

they are requiring medical examinations again'and the vaccination supplement..

i have submitted that already at my POE..

so do i need to do a medical examination again?

and so as the affidavit of support'they are also requiring that..

but then again we have submitted that too..

do we have to do it again??

do i also need the EAD??

we didnt apply for the EAD becoz i am pregnant and i wont be working for the next couple months becoz of our baby coming soon

and as we all know EAD expires every year so we're planning to just apply for it next year...

but now im wondering if they will need that on our AOS interview..

and my last question is that my K-1 visa is expired already, will that be a problem on my interview??

thanks in advance for ur comments....

moved from US Embassy and Consulate forum to AOS forum

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Read the AOS guide here on VJ to help you understand all that is involved in the AOS.

If the vaccination supplement is less than a year old you should be able to just submit that and not have the medical exam again.

This is a different affidavit of support(I-864 now, I-134 then) than was submitted at the embassy for the K visa. So the answer is yes it must be submitted including all the supporting documents.

If you aren't planning on working until after you receive the green card you don't have to file for EAD. You won't need the EAD next year as you will have your green card.

Your K1 visa expired/became invalid as soon as you entered the US. Your I-94 is expired in May. It won't matter.

Things that are required are needed. Things listed as optional do not have to be submitted.

Some people have reported sending the ds 3025 and not even sending the I-693 and having passed without the civil surgeon transcribing it.
