packet 3 confusion

Hello All,

So I am gathering everything to send off for Packet 3...

what needs to be sent off???

Checklist and DS-230 only?? when do you have to fill out the online form DS-160?? Do you have to send the confirmation page along with the checklist??

Also, when filling out online form, do you have to upload picture or can you just attach one?

what do i do with form ds-156K?

You only need to send back the checklist and DS 230 pt. 1. You also need to fill out the DS-160 online before you send back the checklist (or shortly after) and print the confirmation page to bring to the interview. You can either upload a picture or bring an extra passport to the interview. The DS 156K is to be filled out and brought with you to the interview. They make it confusing, I know!

thanks for the response.... and i looked online and the forms they sent me are all outdated should i print and fill out the newer ones and send those in or use the ones they sent me?

Definitely go with the new forms from USCIS.gov. They often send outdated forms

Whats with the popcorn face? How is that helpful?

nkkst2- You can fill out the forms you received from MTL even though they are outdated. I e-mailed them with this issue back when I was putting my packet together and they told me all the forms are still valid to use. Of course, you can always go and download the new forms off the USCIS website if you're uncomfortable with using the old ones.

I sent new forms that I printed just recently and they accepted and processed my packet 3 pretty quickly. I did send a copy of the confirmation page with my packet 3 even tho it was not asked for, just incase. All the files they sent me were out dated and they forgot some of them! Also recently made a post that aparently MTL is having issues printing proper interview letters, all the dates and times are missing from them. Tho its likely they will have that fixed by the time your letter comes! good luck!

we need to get prepar for our packet 3 papers can some one please help me to see what i need to get
