I would have done the same, if anyone ever said anything about my paisa they would no longer be my freind. There are a few people I no longer speak as they stated he was marrying me for the GC ( Jerks )

Yeah, I've had that comment made about my hubby...but then I have to consider the source. These people eat a regular diet of stupid. :star:

He has been talking junk about Manuel for awhile. He keeps saying..........dump the "montanero" and I'll hook you up with a rich Colombian !

I saw lots of these guys in the airport in Bogotá. They all their Izod sweaters wrapped around their shoulders, leather attache cases, pressed slacks, etc. I talked to Leidys about this gross display of conspicuous consumption in Colombia. Way over the top. I explained to her that I know the (economic) pressure she must have felt when she flew to Bogotá 2 yrs. ago when she applied for the Military there.

Leidys (i dont know how to pronounce) has a kinder more honest looking fresh face than Onelius.

From top to bottom, I am dealing with an entirely different sort of person. Onelis (oh-ney-lease) was very ghetto. A Mormon who drank her Cerveza's regularly, talked garbage in the streets of her barrio w/her sister, lied, made excuses all the time for where she was, etc. Leidys (Ladies) is all about honesty, commitment, integrity - she applied for Military service in her country, and she is 100% First class all the way. I thank God that I met her last summer and had the chance to really get to know her. When it came time to introduce her to my Mother, I was 100% confident in doing so.

When I watched Onelis throw back the bottle during one of her temper tantrums, I asked myself, "What have I gotten myself into???"Aguila%20Cerveza.JPG

Simple enough, if you were spending a lot of time with a friend, doing things together, then get married to your (significant other), you know longer have the time to spend with your friend. Either spend that time with your spouse or your friend. In any event, if you only spend 20% of your free time with your spouse, that's 20% less time you can spend with your friend. See on poster suggested a threesome, how close is this friend?

Had a close buddy from ten years of age, but he got married at twenty, bachelor party was more like farewell party. Did see him once in awhile, but weren't talking about making hot rods anymore or any of the other activities like ball games, sports, we did together. He only could talk about a cold one of his kids was having and his wife had things for him to do, like wipe the dishes and take out the garbage. He didn't have time to shoot the breeze. Time to move on for me, no hard feelings.

Sounds to me the reason your friend of 20 years is saying nasty things about your spouse is that she is jealous. Wife and I have friends, but as a couple with other couples, meet once a month at a bar and have a party. Occasionally, she will go shopping with her friends, that is good for her, and for me, find it terribly boring to go to a mall and look at shoes all day.

yes i have. what did your 'friend' say?

I think it is so stupid.I had this cell phone and I guess my friend wanted it because it was one of those high-tech jobbers. He asked me about it on Saturday and I told him that I gave it to my SO when I went to Panama. So my friend just starts spazzing out and yelling at me and calling my SO a "montanero"(hillbilly). So I opened the door and told him to leave my house,NOT to come back and that I never wanted to speak to him again !

lemme guess, this is the same friend that would come visit & leave a little something for you to remember him?....he sounds like an azz, you're better off.
