So I applied for the I-485 for my wife with the K1 Visa back in Feb. along with the I-765. Request for Further Evidence was received and USCIS got it in March 19. We had heard nothing since and since we are doing this through a lawyer, we went to the USCIS office through infopass to do an inquiry about the I-765 AND the I-485.

They told us that they approved the I-765 on April 10. However, we never received it. Maybe it was lost through the mail, I don't know. Or maybe it wasn't sent since they didn't tell us if it was sent or not. Has anyone heard of this before? And if so, is there anything that can be done. The lawyer said if we really wanted it to have to re-apply again. But I would like my wife to have it now since she was already approved, not have to go through it again.

Any help is welcome.

I do not understand your lawyer's advise. Why would you need to reapply for a card if it was already approved? That doesn't make sense to me. What would you be reapplying for, approval? You are approved. Find out from USCIS what is the next step seeing that it was not received in the mail. Sometimes these lawyers just want more filing fees  After you told USCIS that you did not receive it what were you told was your next step? Did you get the information from your lawyer or USCIS? Pick up the phone and call USCIS yourself.

I am just wondering, if it were a case where you did not receive your GC would he advise you to reapply, paying over $1000 because it was lost in the mail? Again, call USCIS yourself.

If it were me - I'd want to know exactly what is going on with both the AOS and EAD. I would start by creating a portfolio on the USCIS.gov web site and plugging in my receipt numbers (one for the AOS and another for the EAD). I'd be looking for any updates they say.

If indeed card production was ordered (for the EAD) I'd want to know where it is - did it get delivered to the Attorney's office?

For starters that is...
