Hello everyone! Please share your thoughts to my concern.

My fiance (he resides in Santa Monica, CA) submitted the I-129F on May 29, 2009 and received the NOA1 on the 1st of June. Since then, we have been waiting for the NOA2. Apparently, we are under California Service Center. We have taken the services of a travel agency here in Cebu since April beginning with my passport.

Just today, I spoke with the manager of the travel agency. Her words were more or less like these:

"I am only worried because those fiancees who were in the similiar batch as yours are now about to leave the country. Do you remember me telling you before that once you have the receipt number which starts with WAC, you must give it to me? I could have begun making a constant follow up at the INS and helped you move faster."

Now, I am wondering. Do you think she's bluffing because she wants money or she is actually credible? Could she possibly make a follow up at the INS for the NOA2 to arrive sooner than usual? We have paid 25% of the required package fee for the K1 visa assistance two months ago and my fiance seems reluctant about paying more unless the NOA2 arrives.

Perhaps some of you here may help to enlighten me. I'll appreciate your responses.

Agency couldn't do anything to assure you that you will get NOA2 nor speed up the approval of your petition. Better not to give your case number. You don't need the service of the travel agency unless you are getting your air tickets after your visa approval.

LOL,,,, You live in the Philippines,,, you know some are always looking for an angle. They can not help speed up anything,,, except the

departure of pesos from your pocket.

Even a US Senator can't speed up the process. They can only help if there is a problem.

Sit back, be a bit patient and pray for your paperwork to arrive at the desk of good goverment employee.

Look at our timeline. 134 days from I-130 submission till interview date. We received NO intervention from any person, nor, did we

receive any preferential treatment. I think it was 80% prayer and 20% luck.

Good Luck and God Speed,,,,

She's definitely bluffing....

First problem: According to your description of her statement, she called it INS... It hasn't been INS for a few years now, it is USCIS.

The only person that can represent you with USCIS besides you (beneficiary) and your fianc?petitioner) is your attorney (if you have one), in which case your package should have a form called G-28. It doesn't sound like you had one.

It sounds to me like she wants more money.

Hope it helps.

By the way jetison the local help and expense,,, they can't provide much help (Unless perhaps you have a problem obtaining some documents) they

might have some contacts (money based grease) in the NSO, etc,,, You can get all of the help you need here for free.
