As Naty travels back to Baguio after completing the CFO. I am sitting here reflecting on the whole experience. All through this, the process seemed daunting and huge. Every step seemed endless and complicated. In hindsight, it was really not. The simplest advice I can give? Just give them what they ask you for. If you provide all the forms and make sure you leave nothing out and you meet the requirements, this is not the impossible mission from hell it appears to be. Read VJ everyday to learn other people's experience. The insight from here is priceless.

The people that get mired down in complications more often than not, create the complications themselves. Marriages not properly terminated, overstaying visas, illegal entries, and so on.

The machine worked: I did what they asked me to do and they in turn held up their part of the deal.

The US Embassy is an office building that has people not unlike you and me just doing their job. Before it oft times seemed like this fortress with cruel taskmasters looking to keep my honey and I apart for as long as possible. I cannot imagine this process BI (Before Internet). But I guess the Internet is how the majority of us met in the first place.

Naty will now go to her province and see her family one more time. She still has her first International flight to go through and she is a little nervous about that. It will all be fine soon.

Keep your chins up, its all just a process.

The first setback came during the medical. Naty had to do the 3 day sputum and then we waited 2 months for the results. YESSSS>came back negative

Went for her interview on July 16th and received her Pink Slip......Finally. Paid the AIR21 and I expect her here August 10th, 2009. Marriage will be August 21st, exactly 4 years to the day that we first met.
