I'm starting to gather all the evidence for the interview and we bought a binder with tabs, my questions are:

1) Will the binder pass through security with the metal rings?

2) Should we organize the evidence by year OR by type (for example, all the letters in one tab, all the pics in another, etc.)?

Jazakalakhairun!

i would do by type, then within by dates, it should pass but i believe dont make it to large to pass thru the opeing to the interviewer, as i understand at least in morocco i believe it has to pass thru a opening to be looked at BUT our photo album was large and i didnt hear of any problems

We used manilla folders with acco fasteners, because I had heard that in most consulates, the binder wont fit through the little window opening.

We organized by type and then chronologically. Like one side full of print screens with emails and chats, the other side with letters and misc communications ect ect. There were I think 3 thick folders crammed full of evidence, I was a little OCD lol

Im excited for you Kenza, good luck!

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Also, what kind of pics did you include? Pics of just you and your hubby?

oh ya, pics! we had an album full. The CO was only concerned about pics of me with his family. We had lots of those too, tahnk goodness. So, I would say to include some of you guys looking happy(of course they're all like that right) and as many that you have of you and his family.

OK thanks Lisa and brnidokiegurl!

I narrowed down the pics to 113 to print out! My eyes are tired of looking at the 3452 pics!

You know what's really funny...I have been married over a year and living with my husband in Egypt, but there is only like one picture of us taken together since the day we got married. We are just not really into taking pictures (of ourselves). I wonder if this will cause a problem when we start our filing process. We also don't have any written communications with each other no cards or letters or emails or chats - we've never done any of that either. Is the "photographic and chat" evidence needed when you are not residing in the same country with your spouse or is it needed every time?

It's really for people living apart.

If you live with your spouse then there is no need to show that you email/chat/call everyday hee.

But I would DEF start taking pics together. Im sure you have a lease with both of your names on it and such? Basically your evidence of a bonofide/ongoing relationship is that you live together. You need not worry about chat logs and stuff, but do take pics and have all of your docs that show that you do indeed live together ready for the interview :)

Wow. I never thought about it before. There is no lease. My husband lived in this apt unleased for 7 years prior to me moving in. We were just joking about the picture thing...might have to do like the characters in Green Card did - we will go out on the roof and take a bunch of pictures changing our clothes after every one! LOL

'Y's_habibitk'...did you take letters from your friends and family to your interview? We've got our interview in a few weeks in Jordan and I am so afraid that I am going to miss something that might be necessary.

Kenza...Congratulations on your interview. I wish you the best!!!!:dance::dance:

yes, actually my brother wrote a letter for us. We had also included the letters with our original petitions, but they were all attached to the 130 so the consul didnt have them..

anyway, yes we did have one. But, the CO didnt look at anything expect the pics of my inlaws and I. He didnt want to see anything else.... We over prepared and of course they didnt want any of it

I know how it is right before the interview, feel free to ask anything :)

tell ur spouse not to panic at all, and during the interview should have a smiley face and not to look so nervous..

its easy and cool... answer the questions with a little explnations :

for example if ur spouse been asked :

what does ur wife/husband work? the answer shouldnt be just :NURSE!! should say: well, he/she works as a nurse in bla bla momerial hospital! and so!!

and i guess the firset question is : how did u meet ur spuse?

good luck

Thank Ya'll again!!!!!!!

The question you raised about the window is so right. When i went to my interview in Paris, I had 2 binders. But I only stayed on the other side of the window. And they never asked for proof. But I would have had to fold it to make it go by the little hole.

My lawyer had advised to classify everyhting with a photocopy: the original on one side, the photocopy on the other.

NOA1: 8/8/2008

NOA2: 12/30/2008

Interview: 01/04/2009 Passed

POE: 08/2009

Removal of Conditions: filed July 2011

Biometrics: September 2011
