Hello Folks, today my fiance recieved a letter from the Manila Embassy and it stated the folowing:

This is in reference to your K1/K3 Visa case.

Your case is eligible to be scheduled for a visa interview. You may request an interview appointment date by calling the Visa Information Services at 1-909-101-7878 (from the Philippines) or 1-888-877-9888 (from the United States). There is a fee for calling the Visa information Services. You should complete all required documents and undergo the medical examination before your interview. It is important that you must have your complete documents; otherwise, your visa application will be refused or you may be asked to return for another appoinment.

Important Information:

Please Read and Follow all interview preparation instructions for fiance k1/k3 visa applicants located on the Embassy's web site at http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html. The instuctions contained at the website will inform you of the required documentation and procedures to follow prior to the interview date.

A consular officer will determine if you are qualified for a visa during the interview. However, if the officer determines that the documentation or information already provided is insufficient to establish eligibility for a visa, the officer may request the submission of additional documents or require additional information until the true facts of the case can be ascertained.

When calling the Call Center to schedule your appointment or communicating with the Embassy by telephone, e-mail, letter, or fax, always refer to your name, case number and visa catgory as they appear below.

sounds like your NOA2 is MIA. the problem is most likely with the NVC. However you can do as the letter says....call the embassy after 1 week or so after the date of the letter (to ensure enough time to reach manila) and make her an appointment. the embassy will send you an email with her appt. time, case number etc. She can use that to enter the embassy for her interview.

The CFO people will require a letter of permission from her parents to marry you if she is 25 YO or under. It does not matter to them if you are going to marry in the states. This happened to us

good luck
