Hello i just joined this site. i am looking for some understanding of how the timeline works and how do i read it. how do i read it? is it the date that appears does that mean that is the date of when someone submitted the paperwork in comparison to todays date?

for instance, it says:

petitions for NOA1 dates as follows are currently being processed:

i-129F for k-1 visa

csc: april 19, 2009

vsc: march 3, 2009

what does this exactly mean? does it mean if i submitted my forms on april 19, 2009 i should be expecting any day a letter to proceed with the process? i have much to learn and sometimes i just feel overwhelmed by this process. it just seems scary and being apart from my fiance sucks because she is such a support in my life, but i know this is a process we need to go through in order to make it together.

also, can she live her during the process of this paperwork because she does have a travel visa?

thank you all for your help. i am grateful to God that i found this support group for this process. thank you all again.

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

The processing times posted on the USCIS website are an approximation of when they are adjudicating petitions. Some get approved before than, some are still waiting from 2008. Use it only as a rough estimate, not a hard and fast rule.

No, she can not live with you in the US while the process is being completed. She may visit you but she must return in the allotted time given to her to visit. Please do not intertwine "visit" with "live"
