One Green Card, Two incorrect information

My mom entered U.S. with her B2 visa, and I filed I-130 and 485 for her to get her GC while she's in U.S.

She got her GC on Monday, unfortunately, there are 2 incorrect information on her card. First, "the country of birth", I have no idea why they put Taiwan in it. My mom was born in China, and this information is correct in her EAD and AP.

What's more, the catorgery is CF1, it is for the K1 visa holder, my mom got the GC because she's a parent of a us citizen, not marry to someone!!!!

I called CSC about this problem, the rep told me to send the card back and they will issue my mom a new one, it may take up to 6 months. I hope it will be a correct one.

I booked an appoinment with my local CIS office tomorrow to see if my mom can visit abroad without her GC, as we plan to go to Toronto in Sep.

take the supporting documentation and the incorrect card to your appopintment and they will give her an I-551 stamp in her passport to allow international travel. send the incorrect card back with the I-90 form citing reason D and supporting info. my wife also got a taiwan marked card. it took 8 months to get a corrected card. be sure to keep color copies of the incorrect card to prove her status in the meantime. you will not get a receipt notice when you turn the card in.

Thanks for your reply. So how can I know if CIS has received my application?
