Hey all. I was one of the 1100- and am feeling like I've been waiting and waiting for my RFE- like some others- for ages, and guess I'm getting a little skittish. When my case was reopened, below was the update. Has anyone else gotten this message? Is there anything to worry about? Is this there anything else other than IMBRA that might be triggering this- or is this standard?

Here is the update message:

"On June 27, 2006, this case was reopened on a USCIS motion, and the case is now in process. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete. You can use our processing dates to estimate when this case will be done. Follow the the link below for current processing dates."

No mention of RFE, nothing :(

If anyone can lend a word, I'd appreciate it!

You would have to assume it's IMBRA. There is no other reason for them to re-open the case. I believe some of the unfortunate 1100 are beginning to receive email notifications which must be a positive thing.

If it helps, we received our RFE by snail mail a week before the email notification was sent. I'm sure yours is on its way.

Good luck.

Don´t worry.

This is the exact same message every recalled petition will get once USCIS receives the case back.

The next step is getting the RFE update.

My case was reopened on June 22nd and I only got the RFE email on July 6th.

Some people haven´t even gotten their cases reopened..

It´s taking them a lng time to clear that.

I've been reading the threads for a while now and I'm really starting to get frustrated. I've called USCIS Vermont several times now and they can't tell me anything. It still says I've been approved in April 2006.

My fiance has completed all the requirements from her packet 3. I didnt even know that Thailand mailed back the petition until I emailed the visa center in bangkok. They mailed it in May 22,2006. I have not heard anything. Anyone on get their petitions back from bangkok yet? Who else can I call? Why haven't they updated my account? How do I know if the recalled petition has been received?

Not trying to make it sound better, since I´m a recalled case as well, and I know how frustrating this is.

They have reopened a lot of cases. I think they will get to almost all of the racalled cases this weeks and by next week, it should be done, with people getting reapproved.

I think July is the month they will put things in order.

And yes, if we had accurate information from them things wouldn´t be half as bad.

Hopefully it won't be too long for you to see some action on your process.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.
