Depends where you are, Gwen. Montreal has full strip and contact as can be seen by the sign in the pic I took of the following establishment in downtown Montreal just a week and a half ago, and it's as normal as Montreal gets anyway.

(note the maternity shop right beneath it haha - I pondered aloud to hubby "What? Do the men go to the strip joint and get all worked up...go home and get their wive's knocked up and then send them to that maternity boutique or what?"

To answer the OP's question: It wouldn't bother me in the least if my hubby went to a strip joint with his friends - long as he came home to me. The reason I actually have that pic of the strip joint is because I had offered hubby a gift of a stripper of his choice giving him a lap dance in front of me haha...and he absolutely refused on the grounds that he thought I'd kill him...lol. But it wouldn't bother me, honestly.

Just as it didn't bother me to chase down these 2 "ladies" who were at the jazzfest and ask them if I could take the following pic as well! hehehe

That has to be put in the dictionary next to the definition of "irony"!

I should have edified-strip clubs in the US do not allow sexual contact; even though the laws vary from state to state, this is one basic rule that's pretty much universal. It's whether or not you're going to a club that allows that rule to be bent or broken that's the issue; in my experience, clubs that are more "upmarket" are not willing to bend the rule (but "Frank's Chicken House" and the one-eyed, peglegged stripper might be more amenable to allowing that sort of thing). I've never been to Montreal, but givent he discussion about US attitudes towards sex in general, I'm not suprised that there's a more liberal attitude north of the border!

But for the pure fact that it is degrading to women for this strip club. It is promoting sexual activity outside of your marriage and it is just as bad to visual be stimulated from another woman as it is to actually have intercourse.

I betcha ya don't realize that a LOT of men are visually stimulated outside of the marriage in many ways and forms (fantasizing comes immediately to mind, for one) but come home to the wife and the wife reaps the benefits from it.

I whole-hearted believe that would all depend upon the fantasy itself, no?

For a broad (pun intended) example....I would definitely prefer my husband going to a strip joint rather than have him fantasize about having sex with my sister or best friend, wouldn't you?

Men have strippers, women have baseball. Have you ever sat in the outfield bleacher seats? Most women out there are pretty happy with 4 hours of a rotating schedule of men with great asses and shoulders coming thorough every 20 minutes or so. You get a group of women out there and it gets quite lewd sometimes. I have been to Arizona Diamondbacks games where women have been asked to leave because of their unruly (often drunken) sexual comments and behavior towards players trying to focus on the game. ;-)
