I guess I wouldn't like it either way but I think I'd get over it much faster if he was honest and upfront about it with me beforehand. Does he go, he used too but as of now he no longer does. I don't really see the point of it. The whole Idea just makes me feel ill really and it's not the fact that I feel insecure in my relationship or about myself in any means. It's the fact that I made wedding vows to be with him and only him. I guess alot of people don't see it as cheating until there is actually physicality or sexual intercourse. I think cheating is really involving yourself in intimacies with other people besides your significant other. Intimacies emotionally, physically, mentally. I guess I don't believe in the moto just looking not touching. A man is driven sexually by visual stimulation and if he feels he needs to go elsewhere to get that rather than coming to me, I'd be upset. It's just too personal for me and sex is sacred to me. I just think nowadays it's seen as an everday thing and not so special anymore since the third party thing is becoming more and more popular and seen as ok. This is just my oppinion so not everyone has to agree. I guess I live by my own convictions religiously. God is the number one thing in my life and I honestly ask myself all the time What is it that Jesus would really do in this situation. I'm sorry but I can't see him hanging out with his homeboys in some strip joint with some stripper wiggeling her breasts in front of him while he slips in a dollar in her g string. Just not happening so because of that it's just not a place for me. I just don't get if we married the most special person of our lives that we think we need to go out and dabble around "innocently" we all think with other people. Again just my oppinion.

If Bram wants to go to the strip club for some occation.. it's ok with me.. and i know he's be honest to me too.. but I wont be going with him (well.. depend onthe mood anyway)

Umm.. I've been to the Penthouse in NYC with a guy friend (3 years ago?) and that his co-worker actually invited us there.. I agreed as i found it interesting.. well.. it's a very upscale stirp club ($100 entrance fee per person) and $20 for tip and I got a lap dance which i closed my eyes throughout ;) and feel very funny. I dont feel comfortable looking at neked or almost neked body up close or even when they show it to me. so i dont think i'd go again..

Isabel,

Guys do that from time to time. If it's a weekly habit you should be concerned, but if it's an annual outing your biggest problem is likely to be that he may come home in a very randy mood. (Was he?)

Well I guess I'm not the normal person here. I would mind a lot. Not because I'm jealous or anything, he can go with his friends to do things without me.

But for the pure fact that it is degrading to women for this strip club. It is promoting sexual activity outside of your marriage and it is just as bad to visual be stimulated from another woman as it is to actually have intercourse.

So for me.....no strip clubs! Going out with your friends and talking or playing pool or something, watching football, sports something....ok.

But when it comes to any sexual, naked-ness that my department only.

Nothing abnormal about not liking strip clubs, hun! People have different views on this sort of thing. I don't agree that it promotes sexual activity outside of marriage (they're strippers, not prostitutes-they are not there to have sex with men, they're there to take their money. By that logic, going to the grocery store is promoting sexual activity outside of marriage, because a man is far more likely to find someone to pick up there than they are to actually get to touch a stripper), and I don't agree that it's as bad to be visually stimulated by another woman as it is to actually have intercourse with her-I think that's a mighty large leap, but you're not the only person who makes it and it's a perfectly valid viewpoint.

Ya I guess I understand your trying to say that most strippers mentality is for money, which I probably agree with on the most part, but thats the mentality of most prostitutes too is it not? To make money, it's not so much about the sex. I knew someone who was into prostitution and she said it was never about the sex it was about the money. Well same with the stripper is it not? No they aren't selling themselves per say for full on sexual intercourse but in a sense they are still selling themselves in a sexual way. It may not be about anything about money to them but the more a guy starts flashing bills around the more attention they are going to get and sometimes thats where some people can get themselves into trouble. Just my oppinion

There's a big difference between selling one's self for sex and selling one's self for the *illusion* of sex...assuming a halfway normal club with halfway normal girls, most of them won't touch the patrons outside of being onstage (or a lap dance) with a ten foot barge pole. Your man is more likely to pick up someone at the bus stop than he is to go home with a stripper no matter how hard he tries. Strippers are still women, often with boyfriends/husbands/families of their own, they don't want anything to do with the guys from work outside of their wallet. And you're absolutely right, the more cash, the fewer the inhibitions-it's a slippery slope, as I pointed out in the other thread. But, let's not forget that stripper girls Raevyn, Saphyre, and Ysobelle are really Jill, Laura, and Monica when they go backstage; the women the men stare at literally do not exist outside of that space. Strippers create a persona in which they dance and work; sometimes it's based on truth, more often, it's completely separate. When they go around to talk to the patrons and ask for a dance, nine times out of ten they're talking about fabricated lives ("Oh, I'm a nursing student.), as the cardinal rule is never, never EVER tell them the truth unless you want Scary Stripper-Ogling Sam following you to your classes the next day! Remember, we're assuming a normal strip club and not "Frank's Chicken House" with the stripper with the pegleg and the glass eye or anything...a normal club does not allow sexual contact between patron and client, that's not to say it never happens in strip clubs, and that's when you have to be careful of that slope.
