Rhea - I think you made the right move to get your vaccination supplement from your family doctor instead of a CS and have Dr. Arnold transcribe it, and had no problem with your AOS application and approval. Yeah, clearly you are covered with the new policy since your medical was done after June 2008.

I am positive of TST too. I had to take TST last Feb 2009 as part of the work requirement so I have no choice but to take it but I am happy that the X-ray result was negative. Then last month, I got a mail from the hospital where I am working at and it says that everybody should have annual TST. I was like "again?" They didn't let me have the TST, instead they let me sign a waiver after telling them that I was positive in it but neg sa xray. According to them, once that you are positive in TST then you'll always be positive even after you took the medication, so it will be useless if i'll take TST again knowing the result will be positive :)

It's good that there's a waiver Pink or else, TST every year :D

korek! :D

The civil surgeon that did Claudeth's supplemental accepted the x-ray from St. Lukes.

So lucky of her! Did she undergo TST?

Nope

Hey Rhea, I remember you of course, but forgot which city are you in right now :) Are you working now?

Hi Riza,

I'm still deciding either i would start my own business or apply for work. I'm into photography right now. A coffee bar in tempe offered to feature my photos in their shop for 1 month. I'm thinking of scheduling it on Q1 of 2010 since they are fully booked until december. If you have time in Q1 2010, i could PM you the exact location. :)

Not sure if you already have your Driver license. If not, try MVD in Southern Avenue, Mesa. This is quite near Fiesta mall. They only do three point turn and a drive around the block for the actual test. For the written test, just study driving manual. It was quite easy.

Goodluck in your interview. If your interview is in Phoenix, the office is on the left side of good egg restaurant. Its in a corner. Very unassuming office. You dont have to worry about the interview. It was very easy.

Just want to share my opinion regarding the chest X-ray and TB skin test.

I think the chest X-ray that every applicant should undergo in St. Lukes is useless and hazardous after the USCIS change policies on medical issues, specifically the TST (TB skin test).

A friend of mine who is in the US now just had her chest X-ray 3 months ago back in the Philippines. They just filed her AOS where one of the requirements is the TST. As expected, she was positive (most Filipinas get a positive TST). The bad news is, she had to undergo another chest X-ray to make sure she is not a TB carrier (doctors here don't honor the X-ray result from the Philippines). She's worried because of the radiation exposure since she just had X-ray a few months ago.

I hope that the USCIS will be able to look into this matter. It would have been better if TST be conducted in the Philippines before X-ray. That way, the expenses are lesser and most importantly, the applicant's health is safely guarded from radiation exposure.

What's your opinion about this?

I think if you do some research you will find this policy comes from the Center for Disease Control (CDC). The USCIS is to blame for many things, but not this policy.

You will probably find the Department of State in there as well, at least until the case is handed back to the Department of Homeland Security.
