Organic food is no healthier, study finds

If zeee soil is depleted and overused it doesn't matter if you farm organically or not.. you can't get healthy foods from soil that's overworked and hasn't been fed.. it's basic farming principles.. crop rotation is critical and allowing soil time to take a break is necessary.

YES!

So our tiny Earth has this leeeeetle tiiiiiny layer of soil.

Soil: alive, moving, thriving, bacteria, worm, nutrient filled shtuff.

And we are killing it.

Depleting it.

It is truly a living thing.

And most people (not everyone here on VJ of course) thinks it is a scientific thingy to play with and treat like dirt.

Pun intended.

It dies.

We die.

Simple.

For those of you who have never grown your own tomato (juts as an example), picked it and eaten it right there, you have no idea what you're missing.

You're taste buds go into orgasmic delights.

Of course I'm talking about those of you who not have poisoned your lawn and veggies with Monsanto's Round-Up and/or other pesticides and growth hormones.

For those of you who's common sense leaves you when you read "A STUDY", well, what can I say to you?

Nothing really.

You are what you eat.

Eat pesticides, higher risk of cancer and other unmentiionables.

Not to mention killing the natural ecology.

Poisoning the rivers, hence the fish, insects, birds, lakes, trees, oceans, etc.

The list is long.

And in the end it is all poisoning us.

Most "ORGANIC" foods are simply stamped "ORGANIC" in order to increase the price.

You have to look out for the "USDA organic" stamp on the label, then you can pretty much assume you're on the safe side. The department of agriculture regulates what's organic and what's not, and there are huge penalties for abusing that label. of course, I have heard that even the USDA is bribable by the big produce giants. I tried to grow some of my own stuff this year, but except one tomato-less tomato plant everything has died.
