Yes, yes I admit my mistake. You guys know the streets in Ho Chi Minh can get pretty noisy. She lived in a very busy street too.

Off topic a bit: How much do you guys pack when you go back to VN? Let say you will stay one month there. I don't want to bring too much this time. Maybe one week worth of clothes?

since clothes are so cheap there I bring only a few things... most of what I pack are things for her family that you cant get there.... bring as little as possible because she will have alot to bring with her...

There's one thing you need to pack, lots of it, and the folks in VN will absolutely love these items when you bring them to VN..............$$$$$$$, the green dollars. No pun intended!

Just remember, life over there in VN is NOT real! Your money will be worth a LOT less once you get back over here. Back to reality, cowboy!

Ok, I understand I should bring as little as I can. However, what if I run out of clean undies for example? :P

getting clothes washed there is easy and cheap and new undies are very cheap...

I always make a stop by the bank before I go to pick up some 2 dollar bills... the 'lucky' ones

Make your wife wash them. hahahaha and dry them outside so they feel nice and rough when you wear them.

DAM. you reminded me on that good old day, when my wife washed my undies, it personally feeling good, BUT itching my A$$ afterward.. hihih.. :crying::crying::crying:

Mike. You don't need clean undies in VN, it's HOT HOT HOT during summer, so better not to wear it inside the house, if you do go out. just cover with a leaf. This should work. >>>> hihih..

No bring plenty with you and bring much luggage but get rid of your stuff as she will have a lifetime of things to bring back with her. Buy new undies when you get back and make sure what you do bring is easy to dispose of.

Nothing like watching your undies dry up high where the whole area can see.

You know I think sometimes we take things for granted. Such as a washer, dryer, and Tide fabric softener...lol. My fiancee did wash my undies once when I was there. I didn't like it. It was rough and itchy. It felt like I was wearing cardboard sheets. Then I knew how good are those fabric softeners. ^_^

Just wait till she gets here.. she will want to wash all of her clothes by hand for a few weeks.. that will wear off soon when she realizes how easy it is to use the washer and dryer... I went through the same thing when Thuy insisted she hand wash mine in April/... not comfortable to wear when walking many Km through hot VN streets... like wearing canvas underwear. I wonder if they have travel size softener?

You can buy it there, but most dont use it.... much of the laundry is done by hand.... it all depends on where you are and how much $ you have...

I wonder how people over there stand wearing the clothes without fabric softeners. My fiancee's family doesn't use them because like most there, they hand wash the clothes. Maybe we used to it here or something. She washed my clothes for me once and after that, I didn't want to try that again. She had to bring me to a place that did the washing(with fabric softeners)and drying for you. It was cheap too. Just that you had to wait about a day to pick up your clothes. That is what I plan to do when I go over there.
