Certainly not considering how many deeply religious people there are in this country, and how deeply involved the religious establishment is in our politics.

We don't have a state church nor bishops in the Senate.

Aside from that, where would one go to find Christianity in the UK beyond empty cathedrals?

The Almighty himself, I rekon.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

So what?

That doesn't disprove what I'm saying.

Didn't claim otherwise. I was more curious about my question.

"Aside from that, where would one go to find Christianity in the UK beyond empty cathedrals?"

Imagine no religion. . .

What relevance does the status of organised religion in the UK have to do with this thread?

Surprise surprise, there are religious people in the UK. Imagine that.

Yes, we have declining and aging congregations. Again - what does this have to do with the thread or anything I said in it?

Point of comparison.

It's not surprising that a centuries old religion in the UK is dying out? I'm sure it probably means nothing to you but I'd rather than have religion in U.S not go the way it has in the UK. I was curious since I've never a Briton who gave a hoot about Christianity except to complain about it in this country. Feel free to do so but it does become as tiresome as those who constantly bemoan the weather. I assume it would probably as irritating as me bringing up the subject in the UK.

They say assumption is the mother of all ** ups.

You don't have the first idea where I stand on Christianity, Dave...

Wow, seriously? You think he is evil as apposed to simply against your ideological bias? I'm incredulous.
