Is it just possible that regular doctors/specialist visits and the odd MRI don't count towards my deductible, that's why I don't know?

I think visits to doctors and hospitals that are affiliated with the PPO don't count towards the deductible.

I see. I know I verified that MRIs don't need pre-certification as long as they're within network. Hopefully you're right and this is fully covered.

Wot?

Are you saying that something has to be out of network to apply towards the deductible?

I don't know. I will find out soon enough.

Well, I finally got my BCBS statement on the MRI I had done. They charged BCBS 700-something, BCBS paid them 500-something and the statement says the provider has agreed to take that payment as payment in full.

FWIW I didn't have to pay a copay for this, either. Just for the doctors visit.

You should change your name to "Cadillac AJS".

I drove a Cadillac DTS recently - wasn't that great. I think I prefer a BMW plan.

Top Gear reviewed one of those recently and said they GTO was a much much better buy.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.
